The Headies Awards announces its nominees for the ” Rookie Of The Year ” 2016 category.
In no particular order here are the names and record labels of the nominees for The Headies Award’s “Rookie Of The Year” 2016 category:

- Dice Ailes (Chocolate City signee)
- Dremo (DMW signee)
- Mayorkun (DMW signee)
- Terry Apala (Nelson Jack Music signee)
To be legible for the Rookie competition, artiste must have at least one officially released single in the Nigerian music market and not any album. Also, the Artiste must not be an Headies’ nominee or won any award category at The Headies and must be a citizen of Nigeria.
