Mechanic heartbroken after selling his two cars to relocate to Canada; agent dupes him, sends him to Ivory Coast

The man, whose identity remains undisclosed, revealed that his dreams of relocating to Canada were initially fueled by a Facebook post from a purported friend who claimed to have successfully made the journey and was now enjoying a prosperous life. Eager to seize the opportunity for greener pastures, the unsuspecting mechanic promptly sold his two cars and parted with a substantial sum of money—three thousand Canadian dollars, equivalent to N1.7 million—entrusting his friend-turned-agent with his aspirations. Following the agent’s guidance, the hopeful Ghanaian embarked on a journey to the Ivory Coast, where he was promised a crucial interview that would pave the way for his migration to Canada. However, upon arrival in the Ivory Coast, the mechanic was confronted with a harsh reality: his friend’s claims were nothing more than an elaborate ruse. The supposed agent, who had convinced him of a thriving business opportunity in Canada, admitted to the deception, leaving the victim in a state of shock and despair. The mechanic, now back in Ghana, bravely shared his harrowing experience in an effort to raise awareness about the perils of such travel scams. “When I arrived there, my friend, who claimed to be in Canada, visited me after I went for the said interview in the Ivory Coast. She confessed that there was a business opportunity in the country and wanted me to join. At that point, I felt very sad and told my friend that her deceit had negatively affected me,” the mechanic said in part. Expressing his deep sadness, he recounted the emotional toll of realizing that he had been swindled by someone he had considered a friend. Man ladies expensive

A Nigerian man speaks on how single ladies of marriageable age are discouraging their potential suitors from approaching them by living an expensive lifestyle. The man known as Prince Anayo Nwosu, holding the traditional title of Ikenga Ezenwegbu in Nnewi, Anambra State, stated that most ladies are now unintentionally chasing away men that might want to approach them.

Man ladies expensive

Prince Anayo Nwosu. He advised mother’s to encourage their daughters to learn to lead a modest life so as not to inadvertently chase away their suitors. His words … “Mothers of Anambra ladies of marriageable age, advise your daughters to dress less expensively and to be moderate in lifestyle to attract responsible Anambra husbands. Anambra suitors check a lot things including maintenance costs. Dear young lady, what do you think goes on in the mind of a prospective suitor when you always look very expensive, drive expensive cars and live alone in an expensive neighbourhood and in a lush and expensively furnished apartment ? A good girl of marriageable age may have been pricing herself out of the market by always “dressing to kill’, riding in the best of cars and living alone in a tastefully furnished apartment in a world where suitors and their mums feel “somehow’ towards such ladies.”

He wrote … “My Landlord wants to Evict me because I have 3 cars. “He said that, I have occupied the whole space in the compound. “But these cars are used for my Business, cos I hire it out to guys using it for Uber and they come to pick it in the morning and return it in the Night.” Check out some reactions trailing the post … David Elaigwu Abah said: “But the house you rented is for residential purpose not commercial so packing 3 cars especially when there is limited space for others to pack is wrong. “If you have three cars then your business is due to have an office where you can park them.” Adebisi Ademola said: “The only issue here is if the landlord stays in the same compound and others are secretly complaining of the parking lot not equitably shared cos you are parking beyond the available space for you or probably you block others movement space.” Chukwuma Victor A said: “Since is business cars, find a business garage to be packing them. Your landlord is not against your progress, rather you are the one disrupting the peace of the yard.” Olatoun Sofela Adebowale said: “Some tenant and their audacity, since you said you use the cars for business why not rent a space or talk to someone that has a big and safe compound to keep two of the cars? You can’t be using people’s space for your business where you make money and still can’t be humble or do the right thing to avoid issues. “If I can’t afford to rent a space I will pet my landlord and make him or her understand not forming my right my right . A Nigerian young man who got a new job has taken to his page to narrate his experience and how he rides on a boat to get to his workplace.
He disclosed that he met a driver whose documents had expired, which caused his commute to take an unexpected turn.
Unfazed, the man used a boat to traverse through flooded areas and eventually arrived at a section of Lagos where buses were not available, requiring a lengthy walk.
The man encountered difficulties getting instructions to his location of employment, even though he asked questions.

Narrating his ordeal, he said,
In his words, “I got another job, this time interning at a relocation and travel agency, and maybe I will just japa from here. I remember last week I was so sad because I lost my first job, but now I’m so happy.
“The best part is they didn’t even interview me; they said I should just resume immediately. On my way to work, I was talking about road safety and I told him don’t worry I will fight for you. Don’t you know me lawyer? This wicked driver did not tell me that he has not renewed his papers since 2010.
“This office was far and I called the HR number but they said I should keep going that I will see small flood that when I see the flood I will know that I’m close but the bus I’m in might not agree to pass, see me thinking that I will use KeKe, but what we used was boat, this is not even a boat it’s fence.
“The man was even saying that I should paddle fast. We got to part of Lagos there were no buses anymore, only trekking. I called HR. The woman said I should keep coming. I kept trying to ask people for directions, but nobody was replying me Finally, somebody replied to me, and the person was speaking French. I might not be the smartest person but I know the person was speaking French.
“I opened my Google map, and it was telling me I was seven minutes away from the Seme border. After trekking like an Israelite, I finally found the office they were talking about. It was so small. What these people didn’t tell me is that they handle relocation to Cotonou, not London to Cotonou or Cameroon; that’s why they’re so damn close to the border.
“One of my coworkers said he knows me from Instagram and that I should not make any videos. When we closed, I asked this man, if he could drop me, he said that I will give him money for fuel. I asked him how much, and he said N10k. I said ah! How much much is the whole salary. Anyway, the same way I came was the same way I left. In fact I got better at paddling and they gave me life jacket.”
