Reports say that the pastor of Chef Dammy, Pastor Jeremiah has been sued by the Ekiti government for damages on behalf of the chef. The Nigerian chef Damilola Adeparusi, also known as Chef Dammy, has filed a lawsuit for rights infringement against Jeremiah Adegoke, and the Ekiti State Police Command at the Ekiti State High Court in Ado Ekiti. The lawsuit was filed by the Directorate of Citizens Rights (DCR) at the Ekiti State Ministry of Justice. The 24-year-old raised concerns in October about alleged harassment and constant threats from people she labeled as “people of God” and her pastor, which sparked the conflict between Chef Dammy and her pastor. The Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) 300-level Mass Communication student said that she had been intimidated and harassed, which had left her constantly afraid for her life. It’s unclear exactly what the chef and her once-supportive pastor were fighting about, but it seems like their disagreement stemmed from the unsuccessful cook-a-thon. The lawsuit seeks a declaration that the continued harassment, molestation, threat of arrest, and intimidation by the pastor, allied with Mr Samuel and the Nigerian police, infringes on the applicant’s fundamental human rights. The lawsuit further demands a restraining order preventing Chef Dammy’s arrest and seeks a compensation of N10 million for aggravation and damages.

According to the former US Navy Seal, his father had left Nigeria for the UK during his teens and after completing his education, he had returned a successful man with his expertise with the intention of creating a World Trade center. However, the Nigerian government, he claims, had in 1987 illegally taken away all his assets, including his man made island which was renamed to Banana Island. Read his full account below: “My Dad left Nigeria🇳🇬 in his late teens to be educated in the West🇬🇧 After completing his bachelors and Masters in the UK🇬🇧, he created multiple business in the West 🇺🇸🇬🇧and generated more wealth than he could have ever imagined. Dad brought all his talents and expertise back to Nigeria🇳🇬 with the hopes of creating a World Trade Center/African Wall Street. When I was born in Nigeria🇳🇬 I was surrounded by wealth, servants, opulence and two loving parents who despite having it all, modeled the importance hard work, never being a victim and never being satisfied with mediocrity. In 1987 the Nigerian government🇳🇬 illegally and corruptly stole all of my dad’s assets, including his man made island that’s now worth billions and was renamed to Banana Island. While fighting the Nigerian government🇳🇬 in court, he mysteriously died weeks later. We went from rich to poor over night. Mom brought my brother and me to America🇺🇸 It wasn’t easy, as we literally started from the bottom in the Bronx🙅🏾 My brother and I applied what our parents instilled in us at an early age, and despite the plethora of mistakes I made, we both became very successful. Without the opportunities America🇺🇸 has afforded my family, I’d be nothing. Yeah, America🇺🇸 isn’t perfect. We have our issues, just like every other country on the planet, but America🇺🇸 is one of the handful of places in the world where you can start with nothing, put in the work, and end up at the top. I love this country🇺🇸, and I’m not ashamed to say it. And the moment I feel otherwise, I’m gonna pack my stuff up, teach my kids a new language and seek life elsewhere. With that said, #HappyIndependenceDay 🇺🇸 #4thofjuly”

Source: Web The Kano SSG who sat for a radio interview, revealed that the roundabout was demolished because it had a Christian cross which is against the teachings of Islam. Bichi, a former senatorial candidate also said that the Hotoro interchange flyover which has two big crosses might also be demolished. He said; “If you take a drone to take the picture from the top, you will see a cross. In Kano, you cannot do that. Not only that it is in Kano, but in the Government House roundabout. This is against our norms and values and also against the teachings of Islam. “Another reason is that the roundabout is blocking people from seeing others from different directions. That is causing holdup and accidents along Government House road. This is not a wise decision.

This means if you are viewing Kano from the top using a drone, you will see two big crosses. That of the Government House and the flyover. We will not let that be.” Bichi also said they are carrying out massive demolition to return the state to its original master plan. He added; “How can you build shops inside mosques and residential area? This is wrong and that is what we are trying to address. That is why we ask everyone from the places that are wrongly built to remove their belongings. We gave notice severally, even before swearing in.”  When asked if they will compensate those whose properties were demolished, Bichi asked them to  claim their money from people that defrauded them.

The publication reported that a source said; “Governor Akeredolu will be flown out of the country on Saturday for medical treatment. He is in a very critical condition. He was put in the wheelchair of his late mother and he seemed unconscious. “All security agents and a few top politicians around were asked to put off their phones. “His condition is very critical now, which is why he is being flown abroad. He is currently in Ibadan because that is where the family prefers to have him when his condition is critical because of the prying eyes and civil servants in Ondo. “Governor Akeredolu is incapacitated and bedridden in his Ibadan home. The content creator expressed concern that the authorities’ inaction in public indecency and other offenses gives the impression that anything is allowed. The call for Bobrisky’s arrest has stirred up a controversy on social media, with many Nigerians sharing their opinions on the matter. While some support Salo’s call for action against the crossdresser, others have criticized it, arguing that everyone is entitled to their choices and lifestyles One fan commented, “Salo just wants to trend by bringing Bobrisky down. It’s his life, let him live it.” Another fan said, “I’m not a fan of Bobrisky’s lifestyle, but calling for his arrest is not the solution. The British government has tendered an apology to the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi after he was wrongly fully detained by an immigration officer who had mistaken him for someone who impersonated him to commit some crimes.

UK government apologize to Peter Obi illegal detention

It was also gathered from a statement released on the Labor Party website that the UK govt expressed that the unsavoury treatment had been totally unacceptable. “Frankly, the Immigration Official’s action – has been appalling – and we are sorry,” they quoted. Recall that the ex-Anambra governor was detained and questioned for a duplication violation, according to Diran Onifade, the party’s campaign council spokesman, who disclosed in a statement released on Wednesday, April 12. On Good Friday, April 7, 2023, Obi landed at Heathrow Airport in London from Nigeria and was confronted by immigration officers. He was given a detention note and instructed to move aside by the officials while he waited in line for the required airport procedures. Onifade said: “He was questioned for a long time and it was very strange for a man who lived for over a decade in that country. Since the impersonator is still at large, the scenario is unimaginable as Obi could be implicated in a series of forbidden acts and even be framed in a manner that could be a huge embarrassment to him, his family, his party, the obidient Movement, and indeed Nigeria, where he currently and indisputably remains the conscience of the people. The immigration officials who were also taken aback at the reaction of the people were forced to reveal that Obi was being questioned for a ‘DUPLICATION offense’ meaning that someone has been impersonating him in London. The high implication of the offense is that the impersonator could be committing all kinds of weighty crimes and other dubious acts and it would be recorded in Obi’s name.”
