Pastor overjoyed as church member gifts him a new duplex

Pastor Uche Ume, the founder of Power World Ministries, is overjoyed as he receives a new duplex as a generous gift from a church member. Taking to Facebook, the Ebonyi cleric shared images showcasing the beautiful exterior and interior of the house.

Pastor Uche revealed that the property was presented to him on January 1 and is located in Centenary City, Abakaliki. He explained that the church member and their spouse expressed their intention to gift him the house during the December 31 crossover night service.

In a lengthy note, he wrote in part: “Then, after the crossover night on December 31 into the new year, one of my sons and his wife, who are our pastors in Abakaliki, visited and shared remarkable news. “They had finished building five duplexes at the Centenary City in Abakaliki, where the immediate past governor opened; only the high and mighty live, such as governors and top government officials. They revealed that they had rented out four already because people were rushing to have them.”

The Lead preacher at Harvesters International Christian Center, Pastor Bolaji Idowu comes under fire for inviting the famous Afrobeat singer, Spyro to perform at the church’s Christmas Carol. The Christmas Carol that was held at the Church’s branch in Lekki, Lagos on 17th of December, 2023 sparked a wave of reactions.

The senior preacher at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, opines that Jesus Christ may return to the world on an unspecified October 1st in the future. The clergyman made this declaration during a recent event held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

According to Pastor Adeboye, just as the 1st of October is a significant date in the Biblical calendar, it is no mistake that it coincides with Nigeria’s Independence Day. The preacher further emphasized how the date may be significant to the return of Jesus Christ as predicted by the Bible. In his words; “God was behind the scene when 1st October was chosen as Independent Day by Nigeria’s fathers of democracy. Nigeria is a very special country. It will amaze you to know that the most amazing date in the Biblical calendar is 1st October. That is the day that is called – the feast of trumpets – and many Bible scholars believe that the most likely date that Jesus will come back again to earth will be October 1, but the year we don’t know. The Bible says when Jesus will come back it will be with the sound of the trumpet and the day for the feast of trumpet is to start on October 1st. Now when you consider that, you will know that God was behind the scene when our fathers (some of whom are now gone) were choosing 1st October as the day for our independence and this could explain why Nigeria has gone through so much turbulence. Sometimes when you think by tomorrow there will be no more Nigeria, you will wake up the next day and still find out that Nigeria is still standing. No matter what is happening in Nigeria today, I firmly believe that we have a glorious future. God has a very special interest in our nation Nigeria and I want you to be encouraged.”
