The Nigerian passport has moved ten times up in the world ranking making it to the 90th position globally. According to Henley Passport Index, although the Nigerian passport has moved ten times up in the world rankings, it is still considered the worst.

The Henley Passport Index has also published some 43 countries Nigerians can travel to with visas. Liya, born Abdulsalam Suliyat Modasola, is a renowned Nigerian singer and songwriter who recently made headlines by joining Davido Music Worldwide, DMW, Davido’s record label. However, in response to a question from one of her followers on Instagram, Liya disclosed that she is no longer officially signed to DMW.

Despite this, she emphasized that she will always consider herself a part of the DMW family. Liya first caught the music world’s attention with her debut single titled “Melo,” which was released shortly after she inked a record deal with DMW in 2020. Her signing was an important milestone as she became the first female artist to be signed by Davido to his label, earning her the title of “First Lady” of DMW. The announcement of her signing was made by Davido himself through his social media platforms, further cementing her place in the industry. Even before the official announcement of her signing, Liya had already unveiled an upcoming track called “Be My Vibe.” Her talent is managed and nurtured by Vanzy Vanz, who serves as her manager. At the age of 24, Liya is a young and promising Nigerian Afrobeat singer known for her distinctive voice and tone. She received her primary and high school education in Lagos before pursuing linguistics studies at the University of Ilorin. While her official status with DMW may have changed, Liya’s undeniable talent and strong connection to the DMW family promise an exciting future for this talented artist in the Nigerian music scene. Fabio Paratici, the Director of Football at Tottenham has stepped back from the role weeks after being handed a football ban by the Italian FA (FIGC) over alleged financial irregularities during his time at Juventus. The Athletic‘s David Ornstein reported that Paratici met with Spurs players on Friday, March 31, to inform them of the situation, before a joint decision was made with the club for him to step back from his duties from April 19, the date of the outcome of his appeal. Tottenham has now confirmed that they’ve parted ways with the Italian football executive. A statement on Tottenham’s website read; “This week – 29 March 2023 – the FIFA Disciplinary Committee announced a decision to extend the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) sanctions, relating to Fabio Paratici, worldwide. This decision was taken in advance of Fabio Paratici’s Appeal hearing against the FIGC sanctions on 19 April 2023, the result of which would then have been considered by additional stakeholders, including the Club. Tottenham Director of Football steps back from role after worldwide football ban “Given FIFA’s unexpected ruling, the sanctions may now have multi-jurisdictional effect, although they are still related to the FIGC Appeal. In view of FIFA’s decision, Fabio has agreed with the Club that he will take an immediate leave of absence pending the outcome of his Appeal.” The ex-director of football is just one of 11 former Juve executives to be hit with a ban, while the club themselves were handed a 15-point deduction for the current Serie A season. This is coming at a time Tottenham is looking for a successor for Antonio Conte who was recently dismissed as the club’s manager.
