Fulham coach Marco Silva gets second charge from English FA

Fulham coach Marco Silva has been charged with misconduct for comments he made following his side’s FA Cup defeat to Manchester United. Silva was sent off during the game following a 72nd-minute incident that resulted in United being awarded a penalty by referee Chris Kavanagh. Speaking to reporters after the match, the Fulham coach had said; “Our story with Chris Kavanagh this season has been tough for us. Unfortunately, we have been very unlucky with him this season. Many moments. It is difficult to understand some of the decisions. We had that West Ham game away from home [in October]. We lost the game with two clear handball goals and it was Chris Kavanagh in that moment. Today, everyone saw what is happening in this game. It is difficult for them to not look for these things.” The Football Association has now alleged that Silva’s post-match comments “constitute improper conduct in that they imply bias and/or question the integrity of the match official, and/or bring the game into disrepute”. 45-year-old Silva has until Wednesday, 29 March to provide a response. This is coming after the Fulham coach was handed a first charge of abusive behaviour towards match officials during the 3-1 quarter-final defeat at Old Trafford. It was alleged that he threw a water bottle in the direction of an assistant referee. Silva faces a minimum of a significant fine in addition to a likely three-game ban for his touchline behaviour, although FA beaks could add an extra game to the suspension.

A Nigerian man has called out online banking app, Opay for allegedly seizing his money since the 10th of February. According to him, his brother sent him the sum of ₦550k and he was unable to access it because it exceeded his limit.

However, he was asked to upgrade his account which he did and is still not able to access the money. He further added that despite the money showing in his opay account, it is not reflecting in his Opay balance.

Achraf Hakimi’s wife breaks silence on rape allegation against him

Hiba Abouk, wife of Moroccan football star, Achraf Hakimi has disclosed that she was already separated from the Paris St-German player before he was charged with rape.

The Paris Saint-Germain star has been under investigation by French authorities following an allegation of raping a woman at his home in the Boulogne area of Paris on February 25. According to Le Parisien, Hakimi had been talking to the alleged victim on Instagram since January 16. He allegedly paid for an Uber to drive her to his home in a Paris suburb. The victim claimed he assaulted her before she was able to free herself by kicking him and texting a friend to pick her up. Addressing the allegation in a statement released today, March 27, the 36-year-old Spanish-Tunisian actress said she doesn’t live with Hakimi anymore and they are in divorce proceedings. Hiba who also stated that she will always be on the side of victims, added that the charges brought her “shame” and she “needs time to digest this shock.”

She wrote; “The reality is that a while ago, after a lot of reflection, the father of my children and I made the decision to end our relationship, long before the recent media events that have involved me, which are totally external. “It goes without saying that I have always been and will always be on the side of the victims, therefore, given the seriousness of the accusations, we can only trust in the good work of justice. “I needed time to digest this shock.” Hakimi met Hiba while playing for Borussia Dortmund and they married in a secret ceremony in 2020. Their first son was born that year and another two years later.
