Aston Villa players Jordan Lyden and Rory Hale scored late on as Aston Villa hit back from a goal down to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 at Molineux.
However, Wolves the only team who can stop Swansea City winning the Division 2 title, took a 53rd minute lead through Donovan Wilson, but Villa, who fielded triallist Christopher Samba in defence, equalised through his replacement Lyden.

Moreover, Hale hit the winner from the penalty spot in the 86th minute to move Villa to within two points of the play-off places with three matches remaining.
Wolves need to win all five of their remaining fixtures and hope Swansea lose their last three to claim the only automatic promotion spot. Wolves, in third place, meet the Swans at the Liberty Stadium on Monday – the same night Villa entertain Brighton & Hove Albion at Villa Park.
