Model Jasmine Tookes embraced her moment in the spotlight and waltzed down the Victoria’s Secret runway in the $3million Fantasy bra, the highlight of the annual lingerie spectacular.

Tookes’ name now joins the likes of Gisele Bunchden, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio to have been given the honour by the underwear label.

She marks the first black model in nine years, following in the dainty footsteps of Selita Ebanks and America’s Next Top Model boss Tyra Banks.

“I feel like it’s such a milestone for Victoria’s Secret to have a woman of colour wearing the fantasy bra, because there’s only been two in the past,” she excitedly told Fashionista in October.

“It’s major, and I think it’s awesome I get to represent that.”

Rocking the incredible set, which features 9000 gemstones with emerald lace panties while her auburn curls bounced while she strutted down the runway.

Jasmine, 25, is what you can consider a gamechanger. She might not have been a household name but the beauty recently captured headlines and not because of the super-expensive 450 carats bra she was wearing.

She had to keep the honour a secret for five months and admits it was one of the toughest things to do.

She told the Daily Mail Online at the time: “I have known for five months, and I literally had to keep my mouth taped shut. I mean the only girls that knew were Taylor [Hill], Romee [Strijd], and Josephine Skriver because they were there the day of the surprise.

“I think it was the hardest for Taylor to keep her mouth shut because she is like a wild child. I had no idea that I was going to be chosen to wear the Bright Night Fantasy Bra. It was such a surprise to me. I don’t know how they chose, but I am so honoured to have this opportunity, and be able to walk down the runway with this beautiful thing.”

Jasmine found herself being praised for posing in the bra for Victoria’s Secret campaign in the lead up to the big show in Paris, but appeared un-airbrushed with a hint of stretch marks on her body.

Neither Jasmine nor Victoria’s Secret made a public statement about the marks, but instead were hailed for being body positive and taking a stance on anti-Photoshop.

She was recently forced to defend herself against critics who accused her of bleaching her skin.

“First of all. Lighting is everything and not to mention I’m way darker in the summer and much lighter towards the winter my skin tone changes all the time just like everyone else,” she said.

Jasmine also tweeted: “Just CRAZY!!! I love my skin! It’s my favorite thing about myself ❤️.”
