"Tinubu's election victory is spiritual, you can't win in court" ― Primate Ayodele tells Atiku, Peter Obi

Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has told the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, to withdraw their cases against President Bola Tinubu, stating that Tinubu’s victory is spiritual, hence Atiku and Obi cannot win their cases in court. Primate Ayodele said this on Saturday in Lagos while also stating that Tinubu would put all the lawyers and judges in a calabash and throw it away.

Primate Elijah Ayodele According to Ayodele, Tinubu’s mantra of Emi Lokan carry’s spiritual and positive energy. He stressed that Atiku and Obi are just wasting their time trying to unseat Tinubu. Ayodele said: “Tinubu’s victory is more spiritual than physical, when he said ’emi lokan’, people didn’t understand. That ’emi lokan’ mantra has a lot of spiritual and positive energy. “Atiku and Obi are not ready, they think Tinubu will just sit down and fold his hands? He (Tinubu) will put all the lawyers and judges in one calabash and throw them inside water. “Tinubu is spiritually desperate and only God can take him out of the way. Atiku and Obi are just wasting their time, they are not ready to take the number one position. “They are just noise makers who go on the internet to rant, will the internet give them victory? Tinubu’s victory is totally spiritual.” He also maintained that the senate under the leadership of Godswill Akpabio would be a rubber stamp. “The Senate under Akpabio will be a rubber stamp, I don’t see anybody being serious; even the opposition will soon join the ruling party because the radical ones will be silenced,” he added.

Dr. Ene Ogbole, a former coordinator in the dissolved All Progressives Congress Campaign Council, has pleaded with the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, and his counterpart in the Labour Party, Peter Obi, to withdraw their cases against President Bola Tinubu from the election petition tribunal. Ogbole made the appeal at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, charging both parties to join Tinubu in his quest for a government of national unity.

APC campaign coordinator begs Peter Obi, Atiku to withdraw case against Tinubu

A collage photo of President Bola Tinubu, Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar She said, “Even though we are aware that it is the fundamental right of all aggrieved candidates to seek redress in the court of law, in the national interest we wish to use this avenue to crave the indulgence of all aggrieved candidates including Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi who are seeking for redress in the tribunal to withdraw their litigations against the president and join hands with him in the proposed national unity and all-inclusive government. “We are saying this confidently because we can see from all indications that the Tinubu-led administration is ready to work assiduously to install peace, development, and progress in Nigeria. We are certain that the priority of all candidates of other political parties is to do the same selflessly in the national interest since Tinubu is playing out their intentions they could and should go a step further to synergize with him to achieve the same patriotic purpose in the national interest.” Her appeal is coming hours after Atiku called up a digital forensic expert, Mr Hitler Nwala, who testified that the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, deleted Presidential Election results on all the 110 BVAS machines he inspected. Nwala asserted that his findings show that the election results of the Federal Capital Territory during the presidential elections were deliberately deleted from the BVAS machine. But the former coordinator of Tinubu’s campaign council stated that the only way to prove to the world that Obi and Atiku’s struggles are not personal or for selfish gain is for them to withdraw their cases from the court and work together with the president to actualise his ‘Renewed Hope’ promises to Nigerians. According to her, Tinubu’s government has proven beyond every reasonable doubt to be transformational in nature with huge potential to reunite and reposition Nigeria for a breakthrough. “The present administration is doing excellent well already as evident in most of the nation-building steps he has embarked on such as the fuel subsidy removal, the education bill that was signed to law, the display of uncommon fairness and equity in the appointment of keys principal office holders and of course, his monitory and economic policies only to mention but a few. “We are also using this opportunity to call on all our elder statesmen from across the length and breadth of Nigeria to swiftly without further delays invite all aggrieved parties to a round table meeting and appeal to them not to subvert the will of the people through distractions but to join hands with the government that was willingly elected by Nigerians to change their story through unprecedented development for the betterment of all and Sundry. “You will agree with us that it is certainly not the time for further distractions; it is time to move Nigeria forward in a positive direction. This is a call for a unity government in the national interest,” she said. A former presidential aspirant of the Social Democratic Party in the build-up to the 2023 election, Cesnabmihilo Nihu-Aken’Ova also joined her voice in making the same appeal, saying the outcome of the poll was evident that the former Lagos governor won it. “It was clear that Tinubu won this election. Those going to court are wasting our time from what we have seen so far. We have passed the stage of the campaign and even Atiku and Obi’s candidates at the governorship and National Assembly level have all been sworn in. I am speaking from my own point of view as a presidential aspirant,” she said.

Do not give up on your celebration because of a temporary setback. “In the end, truth and good will triumph over falsehood and evil,” Atiku told the newly elected MPs. “As a result, you must keep your determination. Cooperate rather than act alone. You are a team, and you must constantly operate as a team to produce significant achievements while remaining connected to your roots, constituency, and other stakeholders. Based on the INEC findings, and pending the outcome of the electoral challenges in court, our members-elect do not constitute a majority in the national assembly. As a result, for the time being, they must prepare to serve as an effective, constructive opposition while simultaneously preparing for a prospective role as the majority party once the cases are resolved. “Never give up hope. The opposition’s role is to hold the administration and majority party accountable. And by doing so, you signal that you and your party are ready to govern as soon as possible — PDP is government-in-waiting if you will.” Meanwhile, Atiku has advised the national assembly’s newly elected legislators to fight any attempt by the ruling party to turn the legislature into a rubber stamp. In response to the PDP’s current state, Atiku remarked that all members must work together to bring the party around. “Our entire party, including our elected officials, is working to rebuild it. Furthermore, a unified goal will be required. As a result, we’ll have to work extra hard to pull our party together. “Let’s stop waging war on issues from yesterday,” he said.

"You're a serial loser" - Tinubu tells Atiku

The president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called his contender, Atiku of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP a serial loser.

Tinubu

The President-elect, Bola Tinubu, has queried the legal competence of the petition the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar, filed to nullify his election. Tinubu, in a preliminary objection he entered before the Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC, in Abuja, described the PDP candidate as a consistent serial loser that has always lost in his bid to lead the country since 1993.

Atiku

Tinubu said: “The 1st petitioner (Atiku) has been consistently contesting and losing successive presidential elections in Nigeria since 1993, whether at the party primary election level or at the general election; including 1993, when he lost the Social Democratic Party (SDP) primary election to the late Chief M.K.O Abiola; 2007, when he lost the presidential election to the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua; 2011, when he lost the Peoples Democratic Party presidential primary election to President Goodluck Jonathan; 2015, when he lost the APC primary election to President Muhammadu Buhari; 2019, when he lost the presidential election to President Muhammadu Buhari; and now, 2023, when he has again, lost the presidential election to the 2nd respondent (Tinubu).”

Senator Grace Bent urges former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and his Labour Party counterpart, Mr Peter Obi to accept the results of the presidential election held on February 25th with grace and dignity.

senator bent

The Senator who previously represented Adamawa South at the National Assembly issued the statement on Saturday, 4th March in Yola. She extended congratulations to the declared winners, Senator Bola Tinubu and his running mate Sen. Kashim Shettima, for their victory. Bent stated that it would be a waste of resources and time for Peter Obi and Atiku to pursue a legal case.

Bent’s Statement to Atiku and Peter Obi “Engaging in a legal tussle on the widely adjudged most credible election will amount to only unnecessary distraction to hold down the process of leadership to thrive. “The presidential election results were a true reflection of Nigerians honest votes , you don’t need to waste your time and resources. “Going to court will lead them in exercise in futility with no positive impact in the judiciary and democratic systems. “I believe in the duo style of leadership, the ticket will unite us more than the thinking of many who are selfish to look at it from the religious point of view,” she said. “I wish them good tenure in office, I know in their ticket Nigerians will smile again,” Bent added.

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of PDP, accuses President-elect Bola Tinubu‘s supporters of causing violence during the recently concluded elections, hence it should be cancelled.

I want presidential election cancelled – Atiku states reason

Atiku requested the cancellation of the presidential election held on Saturday, citing Tinubu’s campaign team’s admission of rigging. According to Atiku, this admission is proof of irregularities during the election, particularly in the southeast region. In a statement issued by his spokesman, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku expressed disappointment that despite stealing the people’s mandate, Tinubu’s campaign team continued to ridicule Nigerians. Atiku also pointed out that Tinubu’s loss in Lagos showed that Nigerians did not want him. “Festus Keyamo’s claim that there was massive rigging in the southeast and that the APC will be challenging the votes in that region validates our position that this election was fraught with irregularities. “Is it not funny that Tinubu claimed he wanted to replicate the developments of Lagos across Nigeria, and yet the same people of Lagos rejected him at the poll? He and his minions unleashed thugs on the people of the state and yet still lost,” he said.

The President-elect, Tinubu has reportedly set up a reconciliation committee to meet with presidential candidates of other political parties.

Recall that Tinubu was declared the winner of the 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. The Governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu made this known in Abuja during the presentation of the certificate of return to the president-elect, and Kashim Shetima, vice president-elect. He said: “The president-elect has set up committees to meet with the gentlemen who contested in the election for us to start the healing process. I belong to one of the committees. We are going to meet them and appeal to them so that we can work together,” “This is an election that was not padded. People who voted were counted, that is the way I see it, not one which shows millions of votes. You can see the candidates, everyone won 12 states each, it has never been like that before.” Akeredolu maintained that the people of Ondo state voted for Tinubu because they wanted a southern president. “Ondo people are progressives and we will always, at least, be on the side of progressivism. From the onset, we were at the forefront of clamour for a southern president and so we have to put everything we had into it and we got the support, that is why we are able to make it,” he said.

atiku

Atiku made this known during a press conference in Abuja on Thursday regarding the February 25 Presidential election, that Obi left the PDP because he was apprehensive about the demands of the party’s governors and was in a hurry. Reason Peter Obi Left PDP – Atiku Atiku said, “I think Peter [Obi] was in a rush. When the campaign started, and our PDP governors sat down and said they must produce the presidential and vice presidential candidates, the chief of staff among themselves, Peter, got scared and left. “I didn’t get scared. I stood up against the governors. When we founded the PDP, some of them were perhaps in secondary schools or universities. So, why should I be afraid? So, I stood up and I fought them. They fought me and I fought them and I won the primary election. “So, if he was there, nothing could’ve stopped him from becoming a running mate because I had the right to choose whoever I wanted as my running mate.” "He was in a rush, scared" — Atiku on why Peter Obi left PDP, lost election Atiku on Why Peter Did Not Win the Election “Yes, agreed that he took our votes from the South-east and the South-south and that of course would not make him a president. You all know that to win the presidential election in Nigeria, you need votes from everywhere,” he stated. Requirements to become president Section 134 of the constitution stipulates the requirements a candidate must meet to be declared the winner of a presidential election. The section states that:
“(1) A candidate for an election to the office of the President shall be deemed to have been duly elected, where, there being only two candidates for the election “(a) he has the majority of votes cast at the election; and “(b) he has not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in each of at least two-thirds of all the States in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.” Watch the video below …
