Osimhen, Oshoala named among finalists for 2023 Globe Soccer Awards

Nigerian football talents Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala have secured spots in the final shortlists for the 2023 Globe Soccer Awards. The announcement which was made by the organizers on Tuesday, comes less than 24 hours they won the African male and female Best Players of the Year awards in Marrakech, Morocco. In the men’s category, Victor Osimhen finds himself in elite company, contending icons like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Erling Haaland. The final 11 also features stellar names such as Kevin De Bruyne, Mohamed Salah, Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior, and Bernardo Silva. Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala make final list of 2023 Globe Soccer Awards As for the women’s category, Asisat Oshoala, a prominent figure in Nigerian and Barcelona football, stands among the top 10 finalists. Victor Osimhen makes 30-man list for CAF Awards 2023

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled nominees for its 2023 awards, with Victor Osimhen as one of the stand out names. The Nigerian striker is reaching out for all the awards possible for his sensational form this year. The 2023 awards ceremony will take place on December 11, in Marrakech, Morocco. Renowned Nigerian film producer, Kunle Afolayan, is filled with joy as Anikulapo wins best overall film at the 2023 AMAA Awards. The African Movie Academy Awards, AMAA, ceremony, which was hosted by Nancy Isime, Rahama Sadau, and Richard Ato Turkson, took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Ikeja, Lagos on Sunday.

Anikulapo, which Kunle Afolayan produced and directed, was also awarded best achievement in production design. The filmmaker dedicated this honour to the late Pat Nebo. The 49-year-old congratulated all the nominees and winners in an Instagram post on Monday, expressing his gratitude and his sense of pride.
