Enthusiastic Nigerians show support to viral chef Hilda Baci by standing in the rain to cheer her on as she breaks Guinness record for marathon cooking. It was earlier reported that Hilda had surpassed the Guinness World Record time for marathon cooking previously held by an Indian chef, Lata Tondon who had cooked for 87 hours 45 minutes.

Hilda had begun cooking nonstop since May 11 and has drawn media attention and cheers of Nigerians who stood outside in the rain to encourage her. Various celebrities and politicians, Peter Obi and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, among others have thrown their weights behind her to show support. Watch the video below:

Famous singer and political activist, Seun Kuti breaks silence following an assault on a policeman in Lagos captured on a viral video. The singer had been spotted violently confronting a policeman which led to slapping and pushing the uniformed officer along the Third Mainland bridge.

Clearing the air on the incident, Seun Kuti without stating the exact issue that led to the confrontation affirmed that the officer tried to kill him and his family. Oba Elegushi breaks silence on alleged report of his wife, Olori Sekinat battling for her life following BBL surgery

Oba The royal family of Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi has debunked rumors of one of the monarch’s wives, Oloro Sekinat battling for her life. The rumors were initially reported by blogger Cutie Julls, who alleged that the queen underwent a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery and was now fighting for her life overseas.

In response to the allegations, the palace released a press statement on Monday, denouncing the rumors as false and the product of “wicked imagination.” The statement confirmed that Oloro Sekinat is in good health and is going about her royal duties as usual. The statement read: “The attention of the Elegushi Royal Family has been drawn to the news making rounds on social media purporting that one of the wives of His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, is battling for her life overseas after undergoing a surgical procedure. We wish to state unequivocally that the news is false, baseless, and the product of the wicked imagination of the authors.” The statement further expressed gratitude to friends and family members who have shown concern for the monarch’s family and assured the public that legal action would be taken against anyone spreading false rumors about the royal family. “We appreciate the love and concern of our friends and well-wishers who have shown genuine concern for the health and wellbeing of our beloved Olori. We wish to state categorically that she is hale and hearty and going about her royal business as usual. We wish to use this opportunity to warn those who derive pleasure in peddling falsehood to desist from such acts as the palace will not hesitate to take legal action against anyone caught in the act,” the statement concluded. The statement by the Elegushi Royal Family has put to rest the rumors surrounding the health of Oloro Sekinat, one of the wives of Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi.

A 15-year-old boy has performed excellently in his Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exam as he sets a new record. The student identified as Lotanna Azuokeke who’s from Ọba in Idemmili South LGA of Anambra State scored 88 in chemistry, 86 in physics, and 64 in the English Language and got an overall score of 337 points out of 400. Reports of the boy’s superb academic brilliance was related by Dr Chiwuike Uba, the spokesperson for Lotanna’s school, Bishop Otubelu Juniorate, Trans Ekulu, Enugu State. Lotanna broke the former highest score previously set by Chidera Obi who had scored 329 in the examination five years ago.

Notable Nollywood actor, Kunle Remi breaks silence about being left out of the nominations for the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) 2023 despite his lead role in the movie Anikulapo. It would be recalled that during the 2023 edition of the AMVCA event, Anikulapo received 16 nominations in 15 categories but Kunle made none.
