The embattled former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke, appeals to Nigerians for their prayers as she faces charges of corruption, involving multi-million pounds, in the UK. The United Kingdom National Crime Agency (NCA) had accused her of accepting bribes in the form of cash, luxury items, private jet flights, and the use of upscale properties in the UK in exchange for the awarding of oil contracts. These alleged acts occurred during her tenure in former President Goodluck Jonathan‘s administration between 2010 and 2015. Following a hearing in the fifth-floor courtroom, Diezani was reported to have expressed, “I need prayers. Please pray for me,” while engaging with members of the Nigerian community in the UK. It is worth noting that On October 2, Michael Snow, the district judge at the Westminster Magistrates Court in the United Kingdom, granted Alison-Madueke bail in the amount of £70,000 after judging her “a flight risk.”
Policemen brutalize young man, threaten to end his life over N100 bribe (Video)
A group of Nigerian policemen have been captured on camera beating up a young man in Delta State who allegedly refused to give them bribe.
It was gathered that the man had been stopped at the check point by the officers but had refused to give them the usual 100 naira pass fee. Lady assaulted at Cubana club releases video, accuses Burna Boy’s parents of bribe
Embattled lady, Steph Briella, whose husband was affected by a shootout initiated by Burna Boy’s escort releases footage from the club.
This comes after the lady narrated in detail the encounter with Burna Boy and his escorts at the Cubana club that lead to the hospitalization of her husband and his friend.
Taking to her Instagram story, Briella insisted that her claims were factual, and at no point did she try to get the attention of the singer.
“How can you lie through your teeth like this? Look at where @burnaboygram was at the start of the video. The VIP section in the middle of the club with two sections. We were literally opposite each other!
“No one from our section approached him. This is me clearly in my section with my partner who took this video btw.
We were literally popping bottles, spending money and minding our business. So all the stories told by @goldmynetv are fabricated,” she wrote.
Adding to her claim, she alleged that Burna Boy’s parents reached out to offer money for a resolution.
“This is my best friend and her husband. Everyone keeps making this about money. Money is not our problem. If you did nothing wrong why were your people contacting us to offer is hush money? Why did your parents visit our parents yesterday?” she wrote.
