Nathaniel Bassey prophesies as he visits Mercy Chinwo’s newborn child

Nigerian Gospel artist Nathaniel Bassey extends prayers for the newborn baby, Charis Nduka Blessed, belonging to Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa. The ‘Hallelujah’ crooner paid a visit to celebrate and bestow blessings upon the newest addition to the family. Nathaniel Bassey shared a photo on Instagram on Thursday, showcasing his joy while holding the baby with a beaming smile.

In his caption, he lauded the newborn as a “prophetic child, crowned with grace and glory,” and conveyed heartfelt congratulations to the radiant couple. In his words; “What a Joy! This bundle of Joy, and expression of God’s glory in the BLESSED family! Indeed SEE WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE @mercychinwo & @theofficialblessed ! What a prophetic child! Baby Charis. “Crowned with grace and glory. Congratulations to my brother and sister! Can I also prophesy that those trusting God for such a testimony will shout for joy soon, in Jesus’ name.”

Obidiz breaks silence over Mercy Chinwo’s ₦2 billion lawsuit

Nigerian Afrobeats musician, Obi Lawson popularly known by his stage name Obidiz, has given a response to the accusation and N2 billion lawsuit made against him by gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo for using her name without her consent.

Mercy Chinwo took legal action against Obidiz, claiming N2 billion in damages after he made reference to her in one of his songs. Obidiz was accused of using Chinwo’s name and image in a derogatory manner, in the lawsuit which was filed on March 23 and delivered to him by Chinwo’s legal representatives. Additionally, Obidiz was warned against using Chinwo’s name or image in any of his future promotional materials, including music. Consequently, he was required to remove all images, promotional materials, and music that featured Mercy Chinwo’s name and likeness from all streaming platforms. If he failed to comply with the demands, he would be taken to court and made to pay a fine of N2 billion.

Initially, Obidiz refuted the claim that he referenced the gospel singer in the song, as was expressed in his first statement to the media. He took to Twitter to defend himself and stated that the song titled “Mercy Chinwo” was about a lady he met, and he did not intend any harm by mentioning her. “Na song I sing I no kill person. Mercy Chinwo for church, but in the club she’s Cardi B set’ you want to crucify me, I only Talks about a lady that I met, na she I sing about,” he wrote See the post below:

Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, the fiancé of popular gospel artist, Mercy Chinwo, has finally reacted after cybernauts dug up old video of him referring to Mercy as his sister.
Recall that days ago the talented gospel singer announced her engagement to Blessed Uzochikwa, a Lagos based pastor.

Hours after the announcement, a video in which he was describing the singer as his sister went viral online.
The pastor has finally reacted to the video while preaching in his church on Sunday.
Blessed thanked the individuals who has labelled as ‘online inlaws’ while citing instances in the Bible to justify what he had done.
He said:
“They dug up my old message where I said she is like a sister. Am I not a brother? She is my sister. When it is time to get married, look among the sisters and pick Who do you want to pick before?
When Mary Magdalene came to hug Jesus, he said ‘Wait, I am going to meet my father and your father’. It has turned to brotherhood and sisterhood. The kingdom is one family.
People are carnally minded. We have too many Christians that are not believers. We have unbelieving Christians.
Be renewed in your mind that you may be able to discern and know when your sister has turned to wife”

Celebrity barman, Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest attracted a lot of attention following his comment on gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo’s engagement post.
Recall that a few hours back, the sensational songstress took to her Instagram page to share photos of her engagement to Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa of Waterbrook Church, Lekki, Lagos.

However, while congratulations poured in, the nightlife king decided to make his comment stand out by adding a ‘naughty’ statement.

Taking to the comment section, he wrote:
“Congrats, so you dey like that thing”
This statement triggered a lot of replies from IG users; some of which demanded to know what ‘the thing’ was.
