TolaniBaj, Big Brother Naija reality TV star and DJ jockey, disclosed how her parents’ divorce has changed every aspect of her life. She claimed that if her parents were still together, she would not have become a superstar. TolaniBaj believes that if her father and mother were still together, she would have pursued her studies to the highest degree and secured a post in the civil service. Her father, she claims, was not a lover of show business and would not have allowed her to participate in a reality TV show.

She said: “If my parents were together, I don’t think I would be a celebrity. Because my dad was so anti-entertainment. “I would just do master’s, Ph.D. My dad would even look for a job in the government for me. There’s nothing he would not do for me.”

Former Big Brother Naija ‘Lockdown’ housemate, Vee Iye opens up on the reason behind her choice to date Neo Akpofure rather than Laycon. In a tweet, the BBN finalist expressed her admiration for Laycon, describing him as the wisest friend she has. Despite his occasional troublesome behaviour, she acknowledged his wisdom.

Vee Iye further revealed that she sees Laycon as someone who possesses maturity beyond his years, describing him as an “old man in a young body.” In her words, “Laycon is easily the wisest friend I have. ‘Obasa’s re-election as Lagos Speaker wrong choice for indigenes’

A former Minister of Communications and Trustee of Omoeko Pataki, Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju (Rtd), has condemned the re-election of Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, an Ogun State indigene as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly. The former minister who had appealed ahead of time that an indigene of Lagos state be Speaker of the 10th Assembly in the state, sees the re-election as wrong footing and wrong choice for the indigenes of the state, viewing from the background that Speaker Obasa is being investigated, and yet inaugurated as the Speaker of 10th Lagos State House of Assembly. GistReel reports that Obasa was re-elected on Tuesday by his colleagues, who also elected Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda as the Deputy Speaker. The lawmaker was unanimously re-elected after a proclamation of the 10th Assembly of the Lagos State House of Assembly by Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, who was present with Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat and top government officials at the chamber of the House. However, Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju’s (Rtd) reaction to Obasa’s re-election was contained in a press release by his Media Office Wednesday morning. The release particularly relayed that General Olanrewaju, a known voice in the advocacy for improved lives of his people of Lagos origin, sees the reason given for ignoring compassionate appeals to allow owners of Lagos State to enjoy their constitutional right of participating in the day-to-day affairs of their own state as unsustainable. The Retired Army General and Prince of Lagos State, while reviewing the development, subtly said: “The clearance of Mr Obasa to return as the Speaker of the 10th Lagos State House of Assembly was premised on the need for stability and continuity in the Assembly by the highest decision-making body, otherwise known as Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC). The return of Mr.Obasa is a deliberate policy of marginalisation of the indigenes in the State. “No matter how the occupants of the three most important political offices of the State Administration today launder their curriculum vitae, they remain, indigenes of Ogun State but residents in Lagos and incapable of claiming indigeneship of two states, because the Constitution does not allow it. “In any case, by this re-engagement, our Assembly in Lagos has become “One Man Democracy” (apology to Sonala Olumhense, a Punch Columnist). The return of Mr. Obasa is a big slap on the faces of the indigenes of the state.,” he said in a release by his Media Office.

Sleeping with producers is a choice

Curvy Nollywood actress, Joy Tambou, has shared her thoughts about her colleagues sleeping with producers or movie directors. Tambou who sat for an interview with The Nation, stated that sleeping with anyone is free and by choice.

She said; “Sex is free. If you want to give, you give. Sex is not by force, if you are saying that some people are looking for sex, Nollywood producers are looking for sex? They should know that it is about choice. “I don’t think there is anybody forcing anybody for sex but you know we have a lot of desperate actors and actresses, who just want to appear in movies. All they think about is sex. If you want sex everybody will take sex from you. You don’t have to give sex to get to where you are going, especially in these days when the internet is so open and everybody is successful doing their skits and all that. Sex is free.”

Tambou also told her colleagues to stop blaming movie producers demanding to get down with them as such demands are witnessed in all sectors. She added; “Stop blaming producers, stop blaming people that they are requesting for sex. There is no sector in this world that they don’t request for sex but the thing is it is not just in Nollywood alone, it is everywhere. You go to the bank, people request for sex, in politics, law firms, everywhere.”

During a Twitter space organized by social media influencer Ogbeni Dipo Toyin Abraham opened up on why she will never support Peter Obi and his party. According to Toyin, some Obidients tried to destroy her career and take away her means of livelihood by petitioning Netflix to remove her movies from their platforms. She also shared screenshots of some of the messages some of Obi’s supporters sent to Checkers Custard, threatening to boycott the brand unless they removed Toyin Abraham as one of the brand ambassadors. Olakunle Churchill and his wife, Rosy Meurer are melting hearts, as they celebrate their 3rd anniversary in holy matrimony.
