Manchester City returned to winning ways with a comfortable 2-0 win against Sheffield United on Saturday’s Premier League clash. The early stages of the match saw City take the lead, with Rodri finding the bottom left corner with a powerful long-range strike. Despite Sheffield United’s efforts, City’s attacks continued to threaten, with Foderingham making a crucial save to deny Silva and Akanji. After the break, City continued with their control over the game.

When you win four Premier Leagues in five years we cannot complain much about what we have done and the way we have done it. “We try to continue to do it and improve the things that will help us in the future. But we go back to Manchester. Coming to London is like going to, I don’t know, northern Europe. It is 4 hours 20 minutes, 4 hours and a half to get to a hotel. It’s so exhausting to come to London, I’m sorry. We need to come back to Manchester and prepare for the game against Aston Villa.” 
Manchester United star, Bruno Fernandes has said that he and his teammates are not afraid to take on Manchester City today, January 14, even though they are one of the best teams in the world. While Manchester United are just four points behind Manchester City on the Premier League table, Fernandes stated that they believe in themselves and are not afraid of anyone. He said; “Man City are one of the best clubs in the league, but it is about believing in ourselves,” said Fernandes. “Now probably you can see a team that has a way to play that convinces the fans and the players it is the right one that can win games. “You go into every game and the feeling you have now is that we are not afraid to play against anyone. In the past you couldn’t see that. When the toughest games were coming, there was a little bit of ‘can we do it or not?’. 
“But now if you look at the fans, the players, everyone, you feel that we can play face-to-face with everyone at this moment. We know what this game means for everyone in the city, in the club, for the fans, for ourselves. It’s been a good moment for us.” Manchester United has lost more Premier League home games against City than they have against any other opponent. In their last match at the Etihad in October 2022, they were defeated 6-3 by Manchester City. This might be an opportunity to rewrite their history.
