The police Minister has given an update on the ongoing investigations into the sudden death of Kiernan Jarryd, known as AKA. Recall that on February 10, outside of a restaurant on Florida Road in Durban, South Africa, the renowned hip-hop musician was cruelly shot and died. The minister revealed in an interview with Faith Mangope on Metro FM that several people who were recognized as close friends of the deceased AKA had been detained about the murder. He further disclosed that on the day of the unfortunate incident, the police were able to find the getaway car and the murder weapon.
AKA, South African rapper. source: Google Cele reported that two suspects are in custody at the moment and emphasized that their safety is being given special attention because of the important information they may have about the plan behind the musician’s murder. His remarks; “We have found the getaway car, the gun has been found. They have found two people who I know for sure are kept safe because they know very well what happened on the particular day, who have given information for the police to get the gun, for the police to get the car. “Those things are in the hands of the police as we speak. We know who we are chasing. And those two guys must be kept very safe because they know what happened on that day, and even beyond what happened, [they know] about the networks that led to the unfortunate murder of AKA.” The police minister added: “Those people … some of them were hired. Some of those people were close associates.”

He is now set to complete a free transfer, with Chelsea happy to cancel his contract a year early to allow him to leave for the 2023 Champions League runners-up. The Spanish defender completed a move to west London 11 years ago after joining from Marseille back in 2012. Understand César Azpilicueta has now full agreement on personal terms with Inter. He also has a pretty spectacular trophy haul to his name, having won two Premier League titles, a Champions League, two Europa Leagues, a UEFA Super Cup, and a FIFA Club World Cup. Chelsea and Inter have been locked in negotiations all summer over a range of issues. While the Blues have backed away from a deal for goalkeeper Andre Onana, talks remain ongoing over striker Romelu Lukaku.

Chelsea are pushing for a permanent sale but Inter can only afford a loan and so work is being done to try and thrash out an agreement that benefits everyone. Azpilcueta won’t be the only player to leave Chelsea this summer, with stars such as Kalidou Koulibaly, Hakim Ziyech, and Mason Mount among the frontrunners to move on. N’Golo Kante has already finalized a move to the Middle East, joining Al-Ittihad on a free transfer. As for incomings, Chelsea confirmed the signing of Christopher Nkunku this week, having signed an agreement for the Frenchman before the end of the season. The club also remains in talks to sign Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo.

Source: Getty Raya, who is highly touted for his shot-stopping ability, is also confident and silky smooth with the ball at his feet, precisely the type of keeper Tottenham’s new coach, Ange Postecoglou desires. Brentford is asking for £40 million for the 27-year-old goalkeeper. Spurs unsurprisingly don’t agree with Brentford’s valuation and will try to negotiate a lower price. It remains to be seen if an agreement between Tottenham and Brentford will be reached. Manchester United and Chelsea are monitoring the situation.

Lloris who recently declared his desire to leave Tottenham after 11 years at the club told French newspaper Nice-Matin last week: “We are coming to an important moment, whether for the club or for me. It’s the end of an era. I have desires for other things, I will ask myself quietly to study what will be possible. “But I don’t forget that I still have a year of contract with Tottenham and that in football it is always difficult to predict what will happen. What is essential at the moment is to recover well from my injury. I’m on vacation but I continue to talk and do my training. My goal is to be on top in July, then we’ll see what the future holds.”

Postecoglou brought the Scottish Premiership title back to Celtic Park in his first season, and his team successfully defended their crown in 2022-23 while also scooping the Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup to complete a treble. However, Postecoglou refused to commit his future to Celtic following the club’s latest trophy. He told reporters after their last title win; “I anticipate enjoying this moment for the next 24-48 hours, as long as I can, before someone drags me away and takes my attention away from enjoying something that’s been hard-earned.” Late last week, popular journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Tottenham was scheduled to discuss the role with Postecoglou after the Scottish Cup on Monday or Tuesday. Romano tweeted an update on Sunday afternoon, confirming the Athletic’s earlier report. Despite Tottenham being in a state of confusion, even disarray, the open role will appeal greatly to Postecoglou, who hasn’t yet managed in Europe’s top five leagues. Postecoglou has earned huge admirers in the game for his expansive and entertaining work at Celtic. The Australian is commonly seen as one of the most exciting managers in world football. Tottenham on the other hand, endured a miserable campaign during the 2022/23 season, despite remaining unbeaten in nine of their opening 11 Premier League matches. The Lilywhites’ form fell off a cliff either side of the World Cup in Qatar, which resulted in Conte heading for the exit. The Italian’s interim replacement Cristian Stellini lasted less than a month before ex-midfielder Ryan Mason steered the ship for the final month of the campaign.

Source: Getty But Mason was unable to turn the team’s form around and Spurs ultimately ended up missing out on securing any form of European football next season as they finished eighth in the Premier League table. In taking on the Spurs job, Postecoglou would become the fourth permanent manager employed by Daniel Levy since the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino in late-2018. Tottenham has been unable to get their hands on any silverware since they lifted the League Cup under Juande Ramos in 2008. Mauricio Pochettino did lead the club to the Champions League final in 2019, where they were ultimately beaten by Liverpool. And they also reached the Carabao Cup final in 2021. But the team lost to Manchester City on that occasion and haven’t realistically been in contention for any major trophies over the last two years.
