
Manchester City staged a comeback in 3-1 win over Everton at Goodison Park, marking their return since the Club World Cup title. Despite a slow start that saw them fall behind to a goal by Harrison in the 29th minute, Pep Guardiola’s side remained focused to turn the game around. The turning point came in the second half, with Phil Foden scoring a brilliant equalizer from long range. Julián Álvarez put City ahead, converting a penalty. The penalty decision was awarded after Onana was judged to have handled the ball while blocking Nathan Aké’s effort.

The win takes City into fourth place in the Premier League standings, leapfrogging Tottenham, although they still trail league leaders Liverpool by five points. On the other hand, Everton finds themselves in a bad position, with just one point separating them from the relegation zone. Their next challenge will be a visit to Wolves, while City will host Sheffield United on Saturday.

Just one minute into added time, he provided an assist for Harvey Elliott, who struck a superb goal, bringing the Reds to the top of the Premier League table with just one point. The comeback dealt a blow to Arsenal, who had anticipated traveling to Aston Villa with their top-flight lead intact. However, they are now faced with a tough challenge to beat Unai Emery’s men who are third in the Premier League table, and are yet to lose a single home game in their last 14 encounters. Furthermore, the Saturday’s victory marked a historic milestone for Salah, making him the third Liverpool player to reach the 200-goal mark for the club. Salah, who scored his debut goal in the Premier League against Watford in 2017, has become a prolific scorer for Jurgen Klopp, overtaking records and establishing himself among Liverpool’s greats.

Then came a stunning double from 20-year-old Armindo Sieb. The first was a powerful effort, swept first-time into the top corner following a swift counter. The second saw him twist this way and that, confusing three Liverpool defenders, before hammering low past 36-year-old goalkeeper Adrian. Salah was on hand to equalise at the death from Nunez’s pick-out, earning Liverpool a draw. Liverpool’s pre-season will continue with a trip to Singapore where they will take on Leicester on Sunday, July 30, followed by a clash with Bayern Munich on August 2. 
Arsenal conceded just nine seconds into the game and were pushed further behind following another goal from Bournemouth in the early minutes of the second half. The Gunners however came from two goals down to win 3-2 in dramatic fashion thanks to a 97th minute goal from Reiss Nelson. The win restored Arsenal’s five-point lead at the top of the Premier League. Arteta who spoke to reporters after the match said;
“It’s probably the loudest and the most emotional moment that we have lived together. The journey that we’ve been on together and how the supporters and the players are gliding together. Adding into that moment, it’s really special. “Winning four games in the Premier League is very difficult and we have done three in a week, which is even harder. We have done it in various ways and that should generate more belief. Today a lot of things went against the team.”
