A video making the rounds on social media captured the moment church members raised their phones in the air to receive miracle money. During the crusade, the pastor encouraged his congregation to have faith in him to get wealth since ‘money is spiritual.’ “You told me that the words of my mouth will not fall to the ground; you told me that whoever I bless shall be blessed. I stand in my office as God’s servant, lift up those phones, I command money to enter your account,” he said in part.

The video, however, stirred reactions from netizens who deemed the members as gullible for expecting miracle money from a pastor. “Pastor that should have prayed for the money to enter his count so he can do transfers to these people himself. But because he knows the transfer by prayers no dey work, he invited them for a special programme so he can collect offering from them while they expect Miracle tranfer.
Yahoo Pastor 1000 – Gullible Christians 0,” a social media user wrote in reaction. Another user added, “Religion is the opium of the masses. ~ Karl Marx. In my language, it’s a drug that reduces the capabilities and capacities of the neurological functioning of humans… Religion was created to make a foolish person feel better about being ignorant…It will make you see foolishness as right, and rightness being foolish… Even when I didn’t reach the age of reasoning, I didn’t believe or fall to these nonsense…” Watch the video below …

The General Overseer of Christ Living Hope Church, Rev. Ugochukwu Emmanuel Ekwem, has been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency while on his way to a three-week crusade in Nairobi, Kenya.

He was arrested with 54 sticks of drugs wrapped around his body at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State.
It was gathered that the popular preacher’s church has its headquarters in Isuaniocha, Mgbakwu Road, Awka, Anambra State.
Reports say the pastor also has two other branches in Lagos and Abuja, and was arrested on March 7, 2022, during the outward clearance of passengers on an Ethiopian Airlines flight to Nairobi via Addis Ababa. The NDLEA says after the drugs were tested, the 54 sticks in his possession were found to be cannabis.
Most worrisome, the clergyman confessed during a preliminary interview that he packed that quantity of illicit substance on his body to use during his three-week crusade in Kenya.
