Naira Marley demands public apology as he threatens to sue Iyabo Ojo for N500M in damages

Popular rapper, Afeez Fashola better known professionally as Naira Marley hits actress Iyabo Ojo with a N500M (five hundred million naira) lawsuit as he demands a public apology from her. In a letter to Iyabo, Naira Marley, through Olalekan Ojo (SAN) & Co., accused the actress’s Instagram account of being the source of malicious and inaccurate content.

According to the letter, Iyabo accused Naira Marley of having spiritual and physical dealings with the late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, in an Instagram post that was posted in September 2023, the month the singer died. Naira Marley’s attorney further asserted that the actress had accused his client of mentally torturing Mohbad.

Furthermore, should Iyabo Ojo fail to comply, they threatened to file a lawsuit and seek N500 million in damages from the actress. See the letter below:

Lil Frosh replies Yhemolee’s lawsuit, demands N500m in damages over alleged assault

Nigerian singer, Lil Frosh has slammed actor, Yhemolee‘s lawsuit with another lawsuit, demanding N500m in damages over alleged assault. It all started after Lil Frosh took to his Instagram story to assert that he recently had an encounter with Yhemolee, who slapped him at a recent event.

Lil Frosh Lil Frosh also announced in a subsequent post that Yhemolee should be held responsible if anything happens to him. In reaction to this, Yhemolee disclosed that he has been receiving multiple death threats from random people after he was falsely accused by the singer. The actor stated that he is categorically innocent of all charges brought against him by Lil Frosh and shared a statement from his Lawyer, demanding N200m in damages.

Chef Dammy’s pastor sued by Ekiti government, demands N10 million damages

Reports say that the pastor of Chef Dammy, Pastor Jeremiah has been sued by the Ekiti government for damages on behalf of the chef. The Nigerian chef Damilola Adeparusi, also known as Chef Dammy, has filed a lawsuit for rights infringement against Jeremiah Adegoke, and the Ekiti State Police Command at the Ekiti State High Court in Ado Ekiti. The lawsuit was filed by the Directorate of Citizens Rights (DCR) at the Ekiti State Ministry of Justice. The DCR also requested that the court prevent Mr. Adegoke and the police from detaining Chef Dammy and that the chef, who gained popularity following her unsuccessful effort to break a Guinness World Record, receive N10 million in damages.

The 24-year-old raised concerns in October about alleged harassment and constant threats from people she labeled as “people of God” and her pastor, which sparked the conflict between Chef Dammy and her pastor. The Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) 300-level Mass Communication student said that she had been intimidated and harassed, which had left her constantly afraid for her life. It’s unclear exactly what the chef and her once-supportive pastor were fighting about, but it seems like their disagreement stemmed from the unsuccessful cook-a-thon. The lawsuit seeks a declaration that the continued harassment, molestation, threat of arrest, and intimidation by the pastor, allied with Mr Samuel and the Nigerian police, infringes on the applicant’s fundamental human rights. The lawsuit further demands a restraining order preventing Chef Dammy’s arrest and seeks a compensation of N10 million for aggravation and damages.

Soldier damages car of abroad returnee after being cautioned for reckless driving (Video)

A power-drunk Nigerian soldier damage damages the car of an abroad returnee following advice about his reckless driving. In a video making rounds on social media, a couple engaged in a conversation with the soldier who had stopped them on the roadside to assert his authority.

According to the returnee couple, the soldier responded aggressively to their caution and proceeded to assault them while also inflicting damage upon their vehicle. An activist on Twitter, Femi Adeyeye called the attention of the Nigerian Army to the unfortunate act of one of their military men. While sharing the video, he wrote; “A couple arriving from the US and heading to Ota, Ogun State had a brawl on the road with a soldier.
According to reports, even from witnesses, the said soldier was driving recklessly and this couple had to caution him to be careful, lest he causes an accident… The next thing was that he pursued them, overtook, jumped out of his car in a gestapo manner, asked the woman to open the car that he needs to “discipline” both of them. I have never seen this kind of horror before, happening especially to people who were just arriving Nigeria… after their years of sojourn abroad. This is sickening.

What kind of society is this? Mercy Chinwo sues Obidiz for using her name in secular song, demands N2Bn in damages

Popular gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo has slammed a 2 billion naira lawsuit on Afrobeats singer, Obidiz for using her name in his song.

The talented gospel songstress sued him for using her name as well as her photo in a derogatory way in his song. A suit filed by Mercy Chinwo’s lawyers on 23rd March, 2023 showed that the secular singer, Obidiz was sent a cease and desist letter, asking him to avoid using her name or image on any of his promotional content and music.

Photos, promotional content and music bearing Mercy Chinwo’s name and image were also requested to be taken down by the singer. If he fails to comply with the demands made of him, it was warned that he’d be dragged to court and made to pay 2 billion naira in damages.

Married man drags side chic to court for leaking bedroom pictures, receives N8M for damages

A lawyer has disclosed that a married man dragged his side chic to court for leaking his intimate pictures and won the case.
The lawyer identified on Twitter as @Egi_nupe_ revealed that the side chic had reportedly shared the man’s bedroom photos online, prompting the man to take legal action against her and sought compensation for damages.

It was learned that the side chic had claimed that the reason she had done that was to reveal to her lover’s wife that he was having extramarital affair.
She was fined N5 million naira for sleeping with the married man and exposing it.
The lady was also fined an additional 3 million naira an was instructed to write a public statement on social media apologizing to the man’s wife for insulting her.
