However, in a recent Channel4news interview, he disclosed that he supports himself as a leader. The artist acknowledged that the elections had been challenging for Nigerians and expressed happiness at the reception of his latest album, “Timeless.” When asked about other artists who had spoken out during the election, Davido refused to criticize them for their silence. He noted that everyone has different views, and some may not feel equipped to handle political activism. The artist’s revelation shows that many Nigerian celebrities are actively interested in politics, with fans and commentators urging them to use their influence to drive change. Despite some hesitance from some quarters, Davido’s statement demonstrates that he is willing to engage in political discourse and even suggests that he has aspirations beyond his music career. “The elections were tough. It was a tough period for Nigerians. I’m happy that I drooped the album and it was accepted. I know people are still going through a lot in the country and everybody knows that even in the past I have been vocal about politics.” he said. Speaking about other artists who were vocal about the election, he said: ” I don’t blame. Some people have families, and children. Do you understand? Some people are built for it, some people are not and I can’t blame anybody. I’m sure everybody has their views personally, you know? Don Jazzy praised Davido’s promotion tactics and encouraged other Nigerian artists to follow his lead. Despite being an established artist, Davido did not rest on his laurels, according to Marvin’s boss. Don Jazzy took to Twitter on Monday to offer his advice to fellow artists, stating that promoting one’s hard work does not diminish their swag. He added that artists should learn from Davido’s marketing strategies and not rely solely on their celebrity status to sell their music. Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, Davido revealed that he spent almost one billion naira (equivalent to $2 million) on his third studio album, ‘A Better Time.’

The singer made this known during a media tour for his latest album ‘Timeless‘ in the United States. Speaking on New York’s Hot 97FM’s Ebro in the Morning Show, the 30BG leader clarified that this amount covered expenses for features, videos, and promotions for the ‘A Better Time’ album.

Davido went on to reveal that he only spent $300,000 on his latest album, ‘Timeless,’ but has already earned more than his previous album from this investment. Davido made this known during a recent appearance on the Ebro in the Morning Show on Hot 97FM in New York City. The singer, who goes by the nickname ‘Omo Baba Olowo’, explained that his father initially disapproved of his choice to pursue music and instead urged him to prioritize his education.

He revealed that his father would frequently send police officers to apprehend him and disrupt his performances at various events. The fashion line collection showcases a vivid blend of patterns and colors that pay homage to Nigerian culture, as seen in the carefully selected styles featured in a promotional video shared by Davido. One of the Puma designs on O.B.O in the commercial where he talked about how he developed the interest had his famous catchphrase “we rise by lifting others.”

In a recent podcast, the DMW boss revealed that he had found Morravey when he came across an Instagram reel of her cover of one of Fireboy’s song and picked interest because she had a beautiful singing voice. He decided to go through the comment section, searching for her Instagram handle; he said that there were over 400 comments and he went through almost 300 of them before he could find her Instagram page.

He messaged her immediately, telling her he would make her a star. Davido said that she was starstruck and was finding it difficult expressing herself clearly. She requested a video call in order to verify with her own eyes that he’s truly the one who had messaged her, and after the call, he sent her some money to freshen herself up; he had also paid her and her friends’ flight tickets to come to Lagos to record a track.

He said that he was highly impressed with her songwriting skills and decided to add her to his music album, Timeless. On his meeting with Logos Olori, he revealed that he had met him through Magicsticks (Asake’s audio engineer) whom he had been coming together with to the music studio.
