May recalled that it had taken away her first son, leaving her totally devastated. Her words read … “Dear 2023, you were pregnant on the very first day of Jan unknown to anyone what you would deliver. You dealt with me in the most catastrophic ways…. Too many adversities | misfortunes and the worst of it you stole my own flesh and blood leaving me in the most devastating, miserable and confused state that I could never have imagined. I lost all hopes and nearly gave up, I had too many questions eating me all up but I kept hearing that voice echoing, “who am I to question God”?
I struggled so hard and stood on God’s words commanding us to give Him praise in every situation despite how difficult it is. Truly, I appreciate all the good people you made me cross paths with (my family, friends, strangers turned friends and my online fam). I cannot begin to list names cos it is endless but I want y’all to know that I will forever remain thankful for the incredible level of love and support showered upon me and my family in our most difficult times. I’m grateful to God Almighty for being God in my life, in other words I’m so glad that man is not God. 2023, it is with all that is within me, I say goodbye to you forever as I embrace the new year 2024 singing my song with a life of thanksgiving, a life of forgiveness and life of commitment to God. I pray that God in His infinite mercy and goodness will bless us all and shield us under His constant love.🙏 Afflictions shall never rise in our homes in Jesus name🙏.” See post below …

“Why start with ‘hello dear’ if you wanted us to do business”

"Why start with 'hello dear' if you wanted us to do business"

Nigerian disc jockey, Rachel Martins a.k.a DJ Dimplenipple, has explained why she refused to attend the business meeting organized by record label owner, Charles Enebeli a.k.a D’Prince.

Recall that she was in the news when she called out D’Prince for asking her to meet him in a hotel for the business meeting.
However, in an interview with Saturday Beats, the alluring disc jockey faulted D’Prince’s manner of approach for the alleged meeting.

In her words: “I never had issues or any business with D’Prince, and that was not my first job as an influencer. I have had meetings at hotels. So, when I saw those comments (criticising me), I just laughed. I have worked with so many artistes. You want us to do business and you say, ‘Hello dear’ and ‘Can I come to a hotel’? For what? All I had to do was ‘vibe’ to your artiste’s song, and that could be done over a call or even a chat.
“Since we were not signing any contract, what were we going to be discussing at the hotel? Why did he suggest a call, then block me? Everyone wants to act smart and sound ‘woke’. Why did he (D’Prince) lock his comment section if he had nothing to hide? I had nothing to gain from calling him out. I have always minded my business. I can stand by what I said anytime.”

Also responding to Ruger’s reaction to the drama, Dimplenipple said, “I don’t have any business with Ruger. I won’t exchange words with him. I will be waiting to hear from their lawyers. He is probably going through trauma from the harassment (he suffered on stage recently) and that’s not on me. He should deal with his problems. I guess we will see each other in court.”

On whether it is tougher being a female DJ than male, she said, “It is actually tougher being a female in the entertainment industry, not just as a DJ. But, I thank God the game is changing gradually and we are finally being seen for what we can do and not what gender we identify as. One has to rise above all that and keep fighting.”
