116 houses at Trademore Estate in Lugbe, Abuja have been declared a disaster zone by the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, requiring immediate action, following the recent flood that submerged the area. The FCTA said it is considering evacuating people from the areas to prevent further casualties.

Flooded area in Abuja FCTA’s Permanent Secretary, Olusade Adesola who revealed that the flooding incident at Trademore Estate was among the issues reviewed at the FCT Monthly Security Committee meeting, added that they are amazed that only two days after the flood, people had returned to some of the properties. Adesola also said that the FCDA Executive Secretary, who chairs the Task Force on Flood Mitigation in FCT, the Commissioner of Police and other officials of the FCTA, particularly FEMA, Development Control, AEPB are now ready to go and evolve solutions that would immediately address the menace. The FCTA Permanent Secretary said in a statement; “We were amazed that only two days after the flood, people had returned to some of the properties. So, in a couple of days, we will be taking appropriate action. Having seen the extent of the flooding, we hereby declare the Trademore Estate area a disaster zone that needs immediate action to remedy further damage and loss of lives and property.”

EFCC declares use of unauthorized EFCC Jackets in movies, skits illegal

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has issued a warning to all skit makers and movie producers against using unauthorized EFCC jackets and symbols, stating that anyone found acting contrary to this advisory shall henceforth be treated as an impersonator and dealt with accordingly. This was contained in a statement shared on the commission’s official Facebook page on Wednesday, where the Commission notified the public that the use of the EFCC brand in movies without authorization is illegal.

EFCC officials on duty The statement read, “The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been drawn to the activities of content creators, movies and skit producers who use EFCC-branded Jackets, symbols, insignia and other accoutrements without authorization. “The Commission wishes to notify the public that the use of the EFCC brand in movies without authorization is illegal. “While the Commission appreciate the desire by some operators in the creative sector to produce movies/skits with plots around economic and financial crimes, it is incumbent on such operators to seek the Commission’s authorization, including vetting of scenes which purport to depict the operations of the Commission, to ensure that false or misleading messages are not passed to the public. “The Public Affairs Department of the Commission is adequately equipped to work with motion picture practitioners desirous of partnering with the Commission in using films and skits to educate the public, especially the youth on the dangers of economic and financial crimes. “Anyone found acting contrary to this advisory shall henceforth be treated as an impersonator and dealt with accordingly.”

The European Sex Championship, scheduled for June 8, will extend over a period of six weeks, during which participants will partake in sexual activity on a daily basis for durations ranging from 45 minutes to one hour, depending on the length of their bouts. The report states that the competition consists of three levels, and contestants must achieve a specific minimum number of points at each level in order to advance. Contestants in the sex tournament have the opportunity to earn between 5 and 10 points in each discipline, with the scoring determined through a combination of public votes and evaluation by a panel of five judges. According to the report, the audience will observe the sex competitions and take note of various aspects of the sexual activity. Factors such as the chemistry between the couple, their understanding of sex, their endurance level, and other important sexual attributes will all be considered in determining the ultimate winner. Dragan Bratych, the head of the Swedish Federation of Sex, expressed his hope that sex would eventually be recognized as a sport worldwide.
