Nollywood actress and box office queen, Funke Akindele has dedicated her latest movie, A Tribe Called Judah to her late mother. On Sunday, December 10, the actress hosted the premiere of her highly anticipated movie, which attracted the attention of numerous celebrities.

Never one to be outdone, Funke threw a lavish premiere party for her latest production. The presence of celebrities from various sectors of the entertainment industry honoured the filmmaker at the event.

Speaking at the movie’s premiere, she disclosed that she wrote the script without realizing her mother would pass away. Funke Akindele wrote the screenplay prior to her mother’s passing in February, and she characterized the movie’s plot as passionate. She gave it her mother’s blessing and encouraged everyone to watch the film and recommend it to others, stressing the need for practitioners to come together and collaborate as a team. WATCH VIDEO:
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC on Monday, 20th of March declared the PDP candidate, Siminialayi Fubara, the governor-elect after he defeated Tonye Cole of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Announcing the result in Port Harcourt, the Returning Officer said Fubara secured 302,614 votes while Pastor Tonye Cole, came second with a total number of 95,274 votes. Wike, speaking at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, said it was “only God that could guarantee this kind of victory achieved by the party.” Fubara has also promised the people of Rivers not to disappoint them.
