A Twitter user has come out to seek help for Nigerian musician, Lyta. She claims the young singer is depressed and needs help. The lady shared this in a post on her Twitter account, @theopeszn, where she begged her followers to help him. According to her, Lyta is not himself anymore and is ashamed to speak up. Notable singer, Eva Alordiah opens up on the reason for a break from her music career, alongside her silent battle with depression after going broke. In a recent post via the micro-blogging platform, X, the rapper gave her fans an insight into why she pulled back from doing music.

Eva Alordiah Eva revealed that she struggled with keeping up and at some point lost herself to depression and her bank balance was not helping. She, however, revealed that it took self-determination to get herself together by investing her time in books, and other recreational and business activities. Reflecting on how far she has moved from being down to running multiple businesses now, Eva Alordiah revealed that the experience was worth it. Eva Alordiah on why she took a break from her music career ‘’A few years ago I walked away from a seemingly “successful” music career. I was burnt out. Depression had taken an almost permanent seat beside me. My bank balance was just enough to buy my next meal. If there was a picture of the phrase “Starving Artist”, it would have been my damn face. One day, I said “Fuck it! I got myself here, I’m gonna get myself out. I invested the next 3 years in relentless self development: – building my body
– reading ferociously
– taking care of my mind
– investing in online courses
– learning how to make money
– building multiple online businesses I look back and I swear I wouldn’t change a thing! Taking responsibility for my shit helped me get my life back. Today my life is so much better because I was bold enough to say- “Na me fuck up!”

Nigerian music executive Ubi Franklin has opened up on his struggle with his mental health despite being financially stable.

Recounting how he struggled with his mental health in a discussion during a podcast with Tea with Taypod, Ubi Franklin disclosed that although he was financially fit to sort out any medical attention, he was still depressed. According to him, in 2017, he had about $5 million in his account but was still going through depression.  He further disclosed that at that time, his marriage with Nollywood actress, Lilian Esoro crashed and he thought because he did not have enough money. Ubi added that after his marriage was crushed, he made a lot of money but he was still depressed because he didn’t have a home, family, or someone. He said: “In 2017, I had almost $5 million but was depressed. I had the best cars. I felt my marriage crashed because I had no money to fund things. A year after my marriage crashed and I was almost on $5 million for investment I did from crypto back in the days, I was sitting on that kind of money doing business and everything but I didn’t have a home or somebody like Iyanya to make that kind of financial expression on him. “For some of us our money is not about showing off is for things that are around us to show off, you know, maybe your wife, your children “There was no fulfillment for me because what I actually planned was not what was going on with me at that time. I had a breakdown of the plan of what I wanted During that depression, I was making mistakes. I spent nights in hotels but he didn’t give me happiness, I traveled to different countries and did things on my bucket list but I was not fulfilled.”

In a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Banky W spoke on the struggle that led to the loss of their twins.

“2019 was a seminar moment in my life because that was the year we were running for office and at the same time my wife and I were struggling at that point to have a child and then we lost twins and we saw our her body go through so much pains,” he said.
Speaking about his wife’s strength and support despite the hard times, Banky W emphasized on marrying the most amazing woman.
