A 18-year-old married lady, Chinasa Odeh has lost her life during childbirth in Ndulo Amike Izhia, Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. The young lady, who recently embarked on the journey of marriage, passed away on October 12, 2023. Her untimely demise has left her family, friends and well-wishers in mourning. Chinasa Odeh was laid to rest on Monday, December 11, in a ceremony held at her husband’s compound.

The funeral was attended by grieving family members, friends, and sympathizers who came together to bid farewell to the departed soul. Oge Nwizhia, the brother-in-law of the deceased, confirmed the sad news of Chinasa’s passing and provided details of the burial arrangements. In a statement, he expressed deep regret over the tragic incident and announced the burial ceremony, which took place as scheduled. “We deeply regret to inform you of the passing of our beloved sister-in-law, Chinasa Odeh, on the 12th of October 2023. Tragically, she lost her life during childbirth. We would like to announce that the burial ceremony for Chinasa Odeh will take place on the 11th of December at her husband’s compound in Ndulo Amike Izhia. Despite the heartbreaking loss of Chinasa, we are grateful to share that her child has survived and is full of life,” the announcement read. See below;

Police declare Ebonyi APGA governorship candidate wanted

The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance(APGA) in Ebonyi state, Ifeanyi Odoh, has been declared wanted by the police.

Ifeanyi and nine others were declared wanted on Monday, March 6, over the murder of a monarch, Igbokwe Ewa. The traditional ruler of the Umu-Ezekoha community in Ezza North local government area was killed in his hometown last Monday, by unknown gunmen. Ebonyi police spokesperson, Onome Onovwakpoyeya said in a statement; “The Ebonyi State Police Command has declared the under-listed persons wanted in connection with the murder of his Royal Highness Eze Christopher Igboke Ewa of Umu-Ezekoha Community in Ezza North.”

In a new report, Peter Obi has won 584,621 votes in Anambra while APC’s Tinubu won 5,111, PDP with 9,036 and NNPP won 1,967. In Abia State too, LP Peter Obi won 327,097, Tinubu carried 8, 914 while NNPP and PDP got 1,239 and 22,676 respectively. Also in Ebonyi state, Peter Obi’s votes were 259,738 while Tinubu got 42,402 votes and 1,661 and 13, 503 for NNPP and PDP respectively.
