'They surprised me' - Ebuka names his 3 favourite BBN housemates

BBNaija host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu recently opened up about his three favourites housemates of Big Brother Naija. The father of two spoke extensively on his favourite participants of the reality show as he divulged the participants he believes are his all-time favorites of the Big Brother Naija show. The BBNaija Star explained that his favorites are the housemates who ultimately managed to surprise him. He disclosed this on Channels TV’s programme, Rubbin’ Minds, co-hosted by reality stars, Beauty Tukura and Prince Nelson. Ebuka said, “I can give you a number of people [my favourite BBNaija housemates]. There was Gideon who was in my season. He was amazing. I have liked everybody who surprised me because I got a lot of your profiles before the show starts and I think, ‘This person go dry’. So, the ones who ended up going in and I’m like, ‘Wow! Okay, I didn’t see that coming.’ “And you [Beauty] were one of them because I thought you were going to be a dead babe but you were not so dead [laughs]. So, that was a little surprising. People that give me drama. ”You [Prince], I don’t know if your drama was intentional, but you had a community around you [laughs]. I have also enjoyed people who played the game… I have given you three names [of my all-time BBNaija favourites] already. One thing I’ve grown to like a lot less over the seasons are people who come in and say, ‘I was just myself.’ It’s a good thing, but I also say that there is money to be won, how do you not come in with a game plan?” Watch the video below:

“Davido or Burna Boy?” – Akon picks his favourite

"Davido or Burna Boy?" - Akon picks his favourite

Senegalese-American singer, Akon, was recently asked to make a choice between superstar singers, Davido and Burna Boy. The singer chose Davido over Burna Boy in a recent chat with N.O.R.E and DJ EFN on the Drink Champs podcast. When asked to choose between the two Nigerian music legends, Akon did not hesitate to pick Davido. Akon praised Davido, calling him a “beast” and reiterating that he deserves more recognition and accolades than he has received so far. “I would probably go with Davido. Oh David, that kid right there is a beast, he’s the beast, he’s another one I think that deserves more flowers than he’s received,” he said. This is not the first time that Akon has praised Nigerian stars for their contribution to Afrobeats. In an interview with American Radio host, Sway, Akon described Wizkid as a superstar and a born star. “Wizkid is just a superstar, he is one of those guys that put up one record a year and the record last a whole year. He is a born star without a doubt,” he said. He also praised Davido for his success, calling him an underdog who fought hard to be where he is today. In his words; “So, Davido was the underdog. But he had the support of a wealthy family so he was able to come up every week with a new song, new video. So he just kept coming. He has more songs more than any Afrobeats.” “He beats the others with quantity versus quality. So he had his method… Everybody has their method.” Akon’s comments have sparked a debate among fans of Nigerian music, with many taking to social media to express their opinions. However, Davido’s fans have been quick to celebrate the endorsement from the American music veteran.
