Young couple dies from generator fumes hours after birthday celebration

A young Nigerian couple has tragically met their end in Ugborikoko Community, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, as a result of inhaling generator fumes. The unidentified man and his girlfriend passed away in their sleep, following a night of celebration in honour of the lady’s birthday. According to reports, the couple had marked the occasion by visiting a night club on Sunday to revel in the festivities. However, their joyous celebration took a devastating turn as they succumbed to the lethal effects of generator fumes in the early hours of Monday, December 11. After leaving the nightclub, the couple reportedly proceeded to the lady’s shop, where they decided to turn on a generator before retiring for the night. Unfortunately, the decision proved fatal, and they were discovered lifeless before the break of dawn. A man identified as Angel Gabriel has revealed how his neighbor’s girlfriend insulted him after he allowed his neighbor use his generator.
According to Gabriel, his neighbor’s girlfriend thought the generator belongs to her boyfriend, and insulted him for switching it on in her boyfriend’s absence.

Landlord arrested for reportedly shooting tenant over use of generator in Edo State

A landlord, identified as Ovbiebo Victor, has been apprehended by the security officials in Edo State for reportedly shooting his tenant’s leg for using a generator in his house.

According to reports from Instablog, the sad incident had happened on Sunday evening, April 3, 2022, at their home in Isihor area of Benin City, Edo State’s capital.

A source stated that:
“The issue started when the landlord warned the tenant not to put on generator in the compound again. But on the said day this ugly incident occured, the generator was not on, the landlord came out with a guuunn and shot the generator then waited for his tenant to come back and shot him in the leg too.
The injured tenant is currently at UBTH, while the landlord is at Uqbowo police station.”
