A viral video online shows the touching moment orphan pays her respect to her late parents at their graves after graduating from university. The lady had lost her parents but still resolutely completed her education regardless of the challenges she faced.

According to the friend, she never gave up on her dreams of completing her schooling and becoming a graduate. Viral video shows her in her customary white graduate-shirt lying on her mother’s grave. A man identified as Harbor Kenneth Onyeisi, finally graduates from National Open University after 12 years of being a law student. The new graduate took to his Facebook to celebrate this huge milestone. From gathered information, he had gotten admission to study law sometime in 2011/2012 but did not complete his studies there due to unforeseen circumstances. However, luck shined on him and he was able to complete his studies. According to him, he has finally been able to fulfill the dream he set out to achieve when he was 28 years old. A man has finally bagged a bachelor’s degree in finance after spending 10 years in the university. The man who goes by the name Akorede J. Ayanbisi had taken to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter, to recount a sad story of how he had graduated from secondary school but couldn’t secure an admission to further his studies in the university, until six years later.

According to him, following his frustration in securing an admission into university, he decided to opt for Open University. He said that he began studying accounting at the National Open university (NOUN) but was later motivated to write Jamb again, and successfully secured an admission to study finance at university of Lagos. In May, 2023, he had written; “I’ve always wanted to pursue my university education at the University of Lagos (UNILAG). In 2011, I completed high school and attempted the JAMB exams in 2011, 2012 and 2013, hoping to be admitted to study Accounting at UNILAG. Unfortunately, I wasn’t granted admission during those years.

In 2014, due to my frustrations with the admission process, I decided to enroll at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) to study Accounting. In 2017, during my final year and first semester at NOUN, I was inspired by my twin friends who were also my course-mates. One of them gained admission to UNILAG in 2015, and the other in 2016. Motivated by their success, I took the JAMB again in 2017, determined not to give up on my dream of studying at UNILAG. Thankfully, I was offered admission to study Finance at UNILAG. Currently, I am in my final year and will be completing my program this June 2023, by the special grace of God. The day I received my admission letter was one of the best days of my life because I accomplished it on my own, with the help of God. Nobody was aware of the entire process until I received the admission, and that’s when I shared the news with everyone. This experience has made me a firm believer in resilience, consistency, commitment, and being a goal-getter. There is nothing that cannot be achieved if you set your mind to it.” Months later, Akorede bagged a bachelor’s degree in finance and took to his Twitter page to celebrate his success. He shared some photos from his sign out while expressing gratitude on finally being a graduate.

70-year-old former Nigeria’s under-20 team coach, Ben Duamlong achieves outstanding academic success as he graduates with a first-class honours degree from the University of Jos (UNIJOS). Despite his age, he pursued his passion for education after retiring as a football coach, Daily Trust reported.

While studying painting at the university, he showcased his dedication and commitment to his academic pursuits. All my life, I have always drawn but never painted. I like painting. I can draw but I can’t paint. So, after retiring in 2014, as a footballer, I stayed home doing nothing.
