Mr Ibu reportedly undergoes another surgery following difficulty speaking

Ailing Nollywood actor, John Okafor a.k.a Mr Ibu‘s health is reportedly in a worrisome state, reaching a point where he is struggling to speak. This comes just about a month after undergoing a leg amputation in a desperate attempt to save his life. Mr Ibu has since undergone another surgery involving the removal of a portion of the same leg that was amputated last month, Vanguard reported. Concerns are escalating not only due to Mr Ibu’s deteriorating health but also in light of the declining condition of another veteran actor, Amaechi Muonagor. Amaechi Muonagor has been hospitalized at Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi, Anambra State, for over two months. Dr. Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), provided an update on the health of these ailing actors during a telephone conversation with the publication. “We are resigning to fate concerning the two actors. As I speak with you, Mr Ibu hardly talks again and he has undergone another leg amputation,” he said.

Mixed reactions have trailed a recent post by actor Charles Inojie where he shared photos he took with Mr Ibu’s daughter, Jasmine after visiting the ailing actor, but failed to post his wife. Netizens in the comment section have considered this to be a deliberate move to exclude the wife from taking part in their affair.

Photos shared by Charles Inojie showed that he visited Mr Ibu along with his friends. They had taken photos with his daughter, Jasmine, and the actor’s son, but didn’t post any of the wife.

Nigerian activist, VeryDarkMan has released audio recordings of actor, Mr Ibu, accusing his wife, Stella Maris of trying to kill him. You may recall that VeryDarkman had accused Mr Ibu’s wife, Stella Maris of wanting to use money meant for Mr Ibu’s hospital bills for her personal gains.

VeryDarkMan He had claimed that Mr Ibu’s wife wanted to be given money out of the cash raised for the actor’s health bills to get herself a new phone and get a BBL done. Replying VeryDarkMan, Stella asked him whether he considers her as insensitive to be thinking of buying iPhone and doing BBL when her husband, whom she had lived 16 years with, lies in bed sick. In a recent development, VeryDarkMan released some audio recordings where John Okafor, aka Mr Ibu, accused his wife of trying to kill him. According to the released recordings, Mr Ibu called his daughter, Jasmine to inform her that Stella was coming with some occult people to kill him.

Mr Ibu and wife, Stella Maris Jasmine responded by assuring the veteran actor that his wife was not trying to kill him, but was praying for him. Mr Ibu, in a second recording, noted that the woman he married from Mbaise, paid her bride price and brought her to his home is not the same woman he is currently experiencing. Jasmine assured him that no one was trying to kill him and it was all an illusion. Mr Ibu told Jasmine he wasn’t going to take any injection or medicine until she arrives. Nollywood veteran actor, Charles Inojie has shared his amazing encounter with his ailing colleague and friend, Mr Ibu on his sick bed. Charles wrote about how he and Mr. Ibu joked, laughed at one another, and even shed tears together in his hospital room in a post he shared on his Facebook page.

Rita Edochie visits Mr Ibu at the hospital after amputation

Renowned Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has shown her support by paying a visit to the ill actor, Mr Ibu, who had a leg amputated today. Rita posted a video of herself at the hospital on Monday following the news of her colleague’s amputation of a leg. Stella Maris Okafor, Ibu’s wife, graciously thanked the actress for her visit. Rita is heard in the video fervently praying for the actor and his family, and Ibu’s wife is heard repeatedly saying “Amen” in response to her requests.

Nollywood veteran actor, John Okafor, also known as Mr Ibu has provided his health update after undergoing 5 successful surgeries. The veteran updated his fans on his health battle while writing a gratitude post on his Instagram page.

He said he is still healing in the intensive care unit and is waiting to stabilize before traveling overseas to have more sophisticated treatment. The actor thanked the public for their donations and said he was depending on their prayers and steadfast support.

Mr Ibu wrote; “We want to thank God and most especially the General public for their support, encouragement, and prayers during this trying period for our dad. We called on Good Nigerians and we are very grateful for the response in every aspect most especially the donations, it came in very timely and very helpful. The popular Nigerian actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, has received medical advice to undergo a surgical procedure involving the amputation of two toes due to complications resulting from diabetes. This revelation made by his close friend and former manager, Chochoo, comes amidst persistent rumors of the actor’s death circulating online for the past two months. Chochoo, who remains a close confidant of Mr. Ibu, has sought to clarify the situation and put an end to the erroneous reports of the actor’s demise.

Jasmine shared several photos of herself with her new car, expressing her joy and gratitude to God. In a follow-up post, she posted a video on her Instagram page of her father praying for her, and expressed her appreciation for his guidance through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Veteran comedian and actor, John ‘Ibu’ Okafor speak on his disappointment with his face as he advises youths on finding love.

The Nollywood heavyweight who was recently called out by his wife and accused of having an affair advised youths against throwing around casually the word ‘Love’. According to him, it takes maturity to understand what the word fully entails but people these days carelessly toss the word around without meaning nor understanding it.
