The win helped Bayern Munich silence their critics, having suffered a disappointing 5-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt in their last Bundesliga game. The victory also keeps them four points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen, who took a vengeful route, beating Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 earlier Sunday evening.
