According to him, some of these popular figures come online to flaunt various brand new cars they have bought but are complaining when government stops subsidizing their fuel. He wrote: “Some of the people I see complaining of the removal of fuel subsidy and the sudden sharp increase in fuel prices have multiple cars. Some of them have come on this very Twitter to flaunt their latest brand-new luxury cars. My dear, why should a poor country like Nigeria be subsidising fuel for you, a yeyebrity with five vehicles that you use for flaunting, fronting and chasing girls? Go and pay! If you can’t pay, vamoose from Nigeria to any country that will tolerate subsidies for rich people. It is because of your likes that previous subsidies never trickled down to people with low incomes who really need it. Oni iranu like you! You want Nigeria to become like Venezuela, an oil rich country that was rained by cheap petro!!” Nigeria’s state oil firm NNPC Ltd on Wednesday hiked petrol prices to as high as 557 naira ($1.21) per litre from 189 naira, days after new President Bola Tinubu said fuel subsidies would be scrapped. The increase signals an end to the fuel subsidy regime that the NNPC says costs it $867 million every month. Nigerians will have to brace for higher transport fares while businesses which rely on petrol generators because the grid electricity supply is meagre, face higher costs.

A Nigerian dentist takes it upon himself to shush those who migrated abroad, particularly those in the UK about their frequent complaints on their hectic lifestyle.

Nigerian dentist knocks UK-based countrymen over incessant complaints about life abroad

It is no news that since the ‘Japa‘ wave increased, Nigerians in the UK made it a routine to give feedback to their countrymen at home with unending complaints about high taxes, workload, lonely lifestyle, etc. A Nigerian dentist on Twitter, @tk_oso claps back at the ridiculousness of such feedback from the UK while emphasizing the need to embrace the privilege they have also. In his words; “The things you left in Nigeria, did you build them in a year? Why do you want your life to suddenly transform in one year of japa? If you see progress, be thankful and keep pushing cos you’ll soon break through. Some of the things UK people say makes me puke. You get here and suddenly things that were considered luxury in Nigeria become your daily reality. You get things you couldn’t dream of buying in Nigeria, but you’re pissed you don’t have 20 thousand pounds in your account 12 months after traveling. What happened to patience? You complain about working too much, but you forget to mention that you get paid for every extra minute you spend at work. You’ve suddenly forgotten how you spent 5 hours on the road going to work in Nigeria, or how you got called in to do overtime without extra pay. In your 12 months here, police hasn’t stopped you once, you’ve never heard sound of generator or constant blaring of horns. You have constant power and superb internet, eat whatever you want without breaking the bank. Anytime you feel ungrateful, remember why you left Nigeria. We know how bad things are back home, no one going through the wahala in Nigeria will take you serious when you complain. Don’t look for sympathy from people back home, your quality of life is considerably better, yes I said it. Form a community and lament amongst yourselves. Stop looking for Pele and ehyah from someone that’s not had light in two weeks. Thank you.” The things you left in Nigeria, did you build them in a year? “My nail technician makes N4M monthly” — Lady knocks man who argued profit from lashes can’t buy Range Rover

"My nail technician makes N4M monthly" — Lady knocks man who argued profit from lashes can't buy Range Rover

A young lady counters the argument of a man who stated that most female small business owners have other sources of income which enable them to afford Range Rover and big houses.

This comes following the passing of an Ibadan vendor who was found lifeless in a hotel room. Taking to Twitter, @Gboye_Raves noted that profit from micro blading and lashes is too low to afford Range Rovers and houses as many flaunt. In his words; “Dear Lagos girls, it’s not the profit from your micro blading and lashes that bought you that Range Rover velar neither is it Snapchat ads that gave you money to buy that Mercedes of over 30 million and it’s still not the sale of your whitening lotion that bought you that house in Lekki. Please y’all should shut the fuck up with your stupid motivations and enjoy your opportune source of wealth in peace! Thank you because every small thing ‘advise for you ladies’ please.” In a counterargument, @Chiamakaabebe stated clarified the statement by disclosing the millions of naira that her nail technician makes. “Man stfu, do you know how profitable these businesses are? My lash tech told me she makes over 4m monthly on average, meaning sometimes she makes more. Per day she makes at least 80-150k. The cheapest lash extension cost about 10k and the most is 15k, micro blading varies from 25k-40k. She does pedicure too, piercings, and facials. Do you know how many girls come to the shop everyday? No matter how early I go there’s always a queue And she’s even the “affordable” lash technician on the mainland, talkless of the ones on the island who Offer these services for way more. Imagine being on this business for years, you can comfortably buy a house an expensive car. If you don’t know something just shut up.”
