Vincent Okafor, the son of veteran movie star Mr Ibu, clarifies the reason why his father hasn’t been flown out of the country for further medical treatment as he sheds light on his recent leg amputation and the real disease the actor is suffering from. Mr. Ibu Mr Ibu’s son, Vicent clarified in a statement release on behalf of the family that an amputation was done on same leg, and not another leg being amputated, as is widely thought by the public. Moreover, he revealed that contrary to general misconception, Mr Ibu his father, isn’t suffering from diabetes but a blood vessel disease that frequently causes blood clots, which had warranted the amputations.

Mr ibu's son leg amputated unfit fly disease

Mr. Ibu. He further said that the reason why his father is yet to be flown out of the country is because the doctors have declared him Not Fit to Fly. His statement read … “We wish to Express our sincere gratitude to well meaning Nigerians and the general public for your immense contributions, physically, spiritually and most above all financially on getting our daddy Mr John Okafor (Mr Ibu) back on his feet again. We wish to correct some misconceptions making rounds on social media concerning the current state of our Ne father’s health. attleio ‘ First we will like to state that our daddy wasn’t amputated on both legs but only one. The first amputation didn’t completely correct his health predicament so the doctors had to go ahead to amputate same leg further to ensure we didn’t loose him. Daddy’s cause of sickness is also not diabetes but he’s had constant clotting of the blood in his leg ( diseased blood vessels) and other health challenges posing risk to his life , therefore the need for the amputation. Lastly, the only reason why the family has not flown him out of the country till date is cause the doctors have tagged him “Not Fit to Fly”.. This tag has made it extremely impossible to get him out of the country for advanced treatment as no airline will fly him.. Daddy is currently admitted at one of the biggest and best hospital we’ve got in Nigeria as of today and the hospital has availed him a pool of very astute professionals. As Daddy is recuperating we urge his friends, colleagues, fans and Nigerians at large to keep him in thier prayers and peddle down on unconfirmed reports concerning our dad’s health.. Thank you Nigerians you all have been very supportive this period. God bless you all Valatine Okafor on behalf of the family.” See photo below …

Why Mr Ibu’s leg was amputated

Why Mr Ibu’s leg was amputated

Emeka Chochoo, the ex-manager of renowned Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has disclosed the reason for the amputation of one of the actor’s legs. The revelation came after it was reported that Mr Ibu underwent seven successful surgeries, including the amputation, due to an infection that affected the arteries at the ankle. According to Chochoo, who had been Mr Ibu’s manager for over a decade, the actor is responding well to treatment and is gradually healing.

Why Mr Ibu’s leg was amputated - Mr. Ibu ex-manager, Chochoo opens up

Despite the challenges, the medical team has been working diligently to address various health issues affecting the actor. Chochoo disclosed that the amputation became a necessary step in Mr Ibu’s medical journey due to an infection that impacted one of the arteries at the ankle. Unfortunately, the condition went undetected until it reached a critical stage, leading to the difficult decision to amputate the leg. “The doctors are treating everything one after the other. What led to the amputation of one of his legs was an infection that affected one of the arteries at the ankle. “Blood wasn’t flowing into the leg, which was not detected on time. When it was, it had become too late, causing the doctors to decide on the amputation,” Chochoo explained. He also mentioned that the surgery took place in Nigeria, and while Mr Ibu is currently receiving care in the country, plans are underway to fly him abroad for further treatment. “The surgery was done in Nigeria. He will soon be flown out of the country for further treatment but for now, he is being cared for in Nigeria,” Mr. Ibu ex-manager added.

Why I’m happy about Mr Ibu’s leg amputation

Why I'm happy about Mr Ibu's leg amputation

A native doctor has shared the reason he’s delighted to see Mr Ibu going through severe health issues. The traditionalist claimed that Mr Ibu’s current situation is a result of his alleged involvement in a fake miracle orchestrated in partnership with Pastor Ebuka Obi of Zion Ministry. The traditionalist, in his statement, questioned why Mr Ibu is seeking financial assistance from the public instead of turning to Pastor Ebuka Obi for help. He suggested that the actor should seek assistance from the pastor to restore his health, highlighting his satisfaction with Mr Ibu’s current predicament as a form of retribution for assisting in what he perceives as a clout-chasing endeavor. He said; “Mr Ibu Ntorr, a while back you Partnered with Pastor Ebuka Obi of Zion Ministry to do a Fake Miracle. Now you are pasting your account number for us to help you. Why can’t you go to Pastor Ebuka Obi so he can put your leg back. I like what is happening to you since you helped Pastor Ebuka Obi to chase clout.” Recall that Mr Ibu’s family recently revealed that one of his legs has been amputated to preserve his life. The incident has led to a broader discussion on social media, with individuals expressing skepticism about the genuineness of certain religious leaders and their purported miracles. @dr_jaxckson reacted: “Harsh, but he is exposing religious scams.” @eby_dinero said: “And we go use sentiment for his reasoning shaa… He might be right though.” @omalichawa_ commented; “Some Igbo people are actually their own enemy..u can never see a Hausa man behave this way towards his brother that is sick don’t get me wrong igbo people are actually good people.” @saintavenue_ent1 reacted: “Make God bless every parents, keep Dem alive to raise dia kids properly.
