Nollywood actress and politician Funke Akindele has revealed why she left Twitter after she lost the elections. Funke Akindele, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deputy governorship candidate, was defeated at her polling unit by the incumbent governor. A few days after losing the elections, Funke Akindele deleted all her posts related to her political career. After she lost the elections, Funke also avoided the bird app, Twitter. However, a curious fan inquired about her absence from the app following her recent return. The fan wrote; “Madam Funke, I site you… Longest time.. you run away from us abi wot happen?” Funke responded; “Dem too dey insult people on this app, so I stay off.” See her post below.
Man unleashes fury at betting shop as he demands refund after losing N50K (Video)
A man who lost his 50,000 naira which he staked at a betting shop has demanded refund after he lost the bet.
The man who is known as Egbon Adugbo had wagered the sum of 50,000 naira but sadly didn’t win the game; he became enraged and demanded that his money be returned to him. A video which surfaced online captures the man who was blowing red-hot with anger as he engaged the bet attendants in a fight. Other bettors were seen trying to calm the man down, but he was having none of it; he began removing one of the shop’s monitors to take home. Watch the video below:
Davido speaks on losing people close to him
Davido, a Nigerian music legend speaks on losing people close to him and dedicating a song on his album, Timeless to them.
While speaking in an interview at Beat FM, Davido, who released his album Timeless today, March 31 touched on losing people close to him. It will be recalled that the singer lost his first son, Ifeanyi Adeleke on the 31st of October, 2023. When asked about the track on his album, Legends Can Never Die, LCND, he said it was dedicated to those who he has lost. From losing his mom at 10 to losing his best friend, his bodyguard, and then his son. The singer shared that although they are gone, he still spiritually feels their presence around him, hence the song, Legends Can Never Die. He also said the song is for everyone out there who has lost one or two close people. Davido also shared that the song is the oldest on the album, and was recorded 2 years ago in Los Angeles. Funke Akindele breaks silence after losing elections; speaks on next move
Nollywood actress cum politician Funke Akindele has broken her silence after losing elections as she speaks on her next movie.
Funke Akindele lost the gubernatorial elections to incumbent Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to the results, PDP had 19, APC scored 77 while Labour Party polled 3 votes. After deleting everything related to politics on her page, Funke Akindele penned down a lengthy message on Instagram appreciating and speaking about her insightful experience on her journey to the Nigerian ballot. She wrote; “It has been an amazing and insightful experience on my journey to the ballot, and I must say, it was an absolute learning curve for me. A lot of things have been learned and unlearned. I sincerely do not regret taking this huge step of running for office. “I, therefore, want to thank the people of Lagos state for believing in me and supporting my decision to run for office. I saw every message of support online and offline, I heard of all the places where people supported me and challenged those who tried to discredit me. I remember every warm welcome during our campaign tour and the faith you all showed in me. The elections might not have panned out in the way we hoped, but it was an honorable run for us. We fought a good fight indeed as a matter of fact. “I also want to encourage all who mean well for the Nation and the state of Lagos not to give up. I understand that some of us are beginning to develop some sort of apathy toward the system, however, if we do not speak, we would never be heard. I’m glad that we could at least speak up. “Thank you once again, Lagos, for showing your daughter support. As I consider my next moves in life, I will continue prioritizing the good of the people and the integrity of my position as an advocate for the people. Eko oni baje!”

Popular singer and politician, Banky W has finally broken silence after losing Eti Osa Federal House of Representative election to Labour Party candidate, Thaddeus Attah.
The musician ran under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on the 25th of February but had unfortunately lost the election. A week after the election, Banky W shared a video of himself during a church service in which he voiced how heartbroken he had been.
According to him, Sunday was meant to be his thanksgiving service and he had made arrangements to move to Abuja and start looking for an office space if he wins. Sadly, he lost the election; but he revealed that he’s story isn’t over as God has bigger plans for him. Watch the video below:

Bianca, the widow of the late Biafran leader Odumegwu Ojukwu, has thrown a shade at the former Anambra first lady, Ebele Obiano after she lost her senatorial election in the state.
Mrs Obiano had contested under the All Progressives Grand Congress (APGA) but had been floored by Labour Party’s Tony Nwoye. Bianca Ojukwu, who had once had a public altercation with the politician during the inauguration of Charles Soludo, took to her Facebook page to make a mockery of her defeat.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Leo Dasilva has reacted to claims that one can never find another perfect partner after losing one.
This comment from Leo Dasilva comes after a Twitter user identified as Damilola took to her page to say that when one loses a perfect partner, one never finds a replacement.
She wrote, “once you lose a good woman, you’ll never find another one”.
Sir Leo Dasilva disagreed with her point as he says life is not like watching Nollywood movies where good people are just a few and meant for some people. According to him, there are a lot of good people out there who can be found at any time.

Man narrates ordeal in his marriage after losing four kids over secret hidden from family of girlfriend who once died in labor
Embattled man opens up on the life troubles faced following information withheld about the death of his pregnant girlfriend from her family.
In a chat with a relationship adviser, the man in question narrated how his girlfriend once moved in with him after getting pregnant.
Unfortunately, the lady passed during child labor and her body was kept at the morgue by the gentleman over the fear of facing her parents.

“Hello ma. I have a issue. I have a girl friend I meet in imo when we went outside work, later that year December we do something for the first time and lead to pregnancy. When she tell me, I dint deny. I told her to come over to Ibadan where i live.
So hard luck happen and she die in delivery. We put her in mortuary. For out of fear I dint tell anyone about it cos nobody know she come to my place from IMO state.
Later with help of friends, her body came down to IMO state, then we use her phone, hide number to call her brother that his sister is in so so mortuary..) know they do her burial after two months but I didn show there due to fear.
Why am here is coz I marry but 4 child die the day my wife born them. So here in Ghana, they say I should go to IMO in that girls house and beg her. I don’t know how I can go.”

Award winning superstar singer, Wizkid Balogun has finally broken silence, hours after losing two Grammy awards.
