The other three identified are Marlon Rafael Brito Bolivar, Brayan Javier Morales Sanjuan, and Andrys Alcides Bolivar Bolivar, who described as their leader. According to reports, the gang, referred to as ‘The Primates,’ specializes in drug trafficking and is considered a sub-division of the notorious Gulf Clan.

According to a tweet by Fabrizio Romano on Thursday, the Colombian government has reasons to believe that the group carried out the act. Diaz parents Luis Manuel Díaz and his wife, Cilenis Marulanda, were abducted last Saturday by armed men at a petrol station in Barrancas in Colombia’s northern La Guajira state. While Marulanda was freed the same day, there has been no update on Luis Manuel Díaz’s rescue after 5 days. The search for Luis Manuel Díaz is still ongoing across La Guajira, a desert region close to Venezuela which is reportedly a hotbed for armed groups smuggling contraband and cocaine. The Columbian police have reportedly, offered a reward for information leading to the rescue of Manuel Diaz.

The Liverpool forward was informed of his parents’ abduction by armed men shortly before Liverpool’s Premier League match against Nottingham Forest on Sunday. According to reports, Diaz had initially planned on returning to Colombia, but relatives persuaded him not to, for his own safety. Security concern was the key reason in this decision, and Diaz has chosen to rely on the authorities, comprising of the police and military forces to resolve the situation. Cilenis was released from the hands of her captors with a reward of 200 million Colombian pesos, about £40,000 offered by the authorities for information. Diaz’s father and mother were reportedly taken by four armed men on motorcycles while buying watermelons. The Colombian army is said to be actively involved in the search, as they have deployed special military unit to guard the border with Venezuela and prevent any attempts to transport Luis Manuel across the border.

Nicknamed “The Architect”, he is regarded as pioneering the modern attacking midfielder role. Although born in the northwest Spanish region of Galicia, the midfielder won the bulk of his trophies in Italy with Inter, including the European Cup in 1964 and 1965 and three Italian league titles. Suárez moved to Inter from Barcelona after winning two Spanish league titles. Luis Suarez was loved in Italy, after becoming one of the league’s most celebrated midfielders at Inter Milan under coach Helenio Herrera in the 1960s. He won the Ballon d’Or in 1960 and was runner-up in 1961 and 1964.  He remains Spain’s only male winner of the award. On June 30, it was revealed he’d officially departed after accepting an offer from a ‘foreign club’, which has now been confirmed as Al Nassr. Sports broadcaster Ben Jacobs, revealed that Ronaldo who joined Al-Nassr in January following his dramatic departure from Manchester United, was heavily involved in Castro’s appointment. Castro is the latest coaching hire this week in the cash-rich Saudi Pro League, following Jorge Jesus’ appointment at Al-Hilal and Steven Gerrard’s at Al-Ettifaq. However, he spent most of his time down in the lower leagues before later becoming a manager in 1998. 61-year-old Luis Castro who will be leading Al-Nassr next season, is best known for his two seasons in Ukraine with Shakhtar Donetsk including home and away wins over Real Madrid in the group stage of the 2020-21 Champions League. He will lead Al-Nassr into a qualifying playoff for the Asian Champions League next month after the team finished runner-up last season in the Saudi Pro League. The champion Al-Ittihad was coached by another Portuguese, Nuno Espírito Santo. Al-Nassr is among four top Saudi clubs effectively nationalized last month by being taken into majority ownership by the sovereign wealth Public Investment Fund. PIF claims to have assets of around $700 billion and is chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Galtier left Nice to take charge of Les Parisiens, but he was unable to break their Champions League hoodoo, overseeing a last-16 exit at the hands of Bayern Munich. The Ligue 1 holders had considered several top coaches for the role, including former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann, who was at one stage thought to have been leading the race for the job. His style of play has been key and he would know how to deal with the heavyweights in the dressing room. The Ligue 1 side has decided to accept the conditions that he has asked of them, aware that time is running out with only a few weeks to go before pre-season. Luis Enrique’s last experience was with the Spain national team, which he led to a Nations League final and the semi-finals of the European Championship. Despite having attracted interest from big clubs, including Napoli and Chelsea, the Gijón native had given himself time to consider offers, with PSG being the most concrete and the one he could end up accepting.
