Online personality, VeryDarkMan has accepted a challenge to fight Niki Tall, an Afrobeats artist, DJ, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer. The Greek-German musician had released a statement in a viral video, urging VeryDarkMan to engage in a fight, while also calling for Portable, a Nigerian singer, to agree to a rematch with Charles Okocha in a celebrity boxing match.

However, he requested a Canadian visa to travel and accept the challenge, proposing to wrestle with Niki Tall. Manchester United and Arsenal play a pre-season match at MetLife Stadium Manchester United’s new captain Bruno Fernandes gave his side an early advantage with a long rang effort. Gunners goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale did get a strong hand to the ball, but still failed to stop the goal. Just seven minutes later, Jadon Sancho doubled United’s lead, as he capitalised on Gabriel Magalhaes’ missed clearance and completed a brilliant finish past Ramsdale, putting the ball at the roof of the net. In the second half, Arsenal’s Kai Havertz had the best chance to score. He was picked out by a cross from Martin Odegaard, but the former Chelsea forward’s header did not hit the target. Arsenal, who had fielded new signings Havertz , Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber for the match, put on a dissapointing performance, which was made worse by a loss in penalty shootout as well. In the shootout, United converted all five of their spot kicks. Arsenal started their pre-season on July 8 with a 1-1 draw against Watford and followed it with a 1-1 draw against FC Nurnberg five days later. After this loss to United, they have matches against Barcelona, Monaco and Manchester City. They will take on Premier League Champions City for the FA Community Shield, as per Sky Sports.

Tuchel’s side were 18-0 ahead by half-time, with Musiala and team-mate Mathys Tel both bagging five before the break, while Gnabry scored a hat-trick. Sane, Alphonso Davies, Konrad Laimer, Noussair Mazraoui and Dayot Upamecano all netted before pausing for a breath. Things got slightly better for Rottach-Egern after half-time, with Tuchel’s side taking their foot off the throat by only scoring nine times. Marcel Sabitzer was not messing around as he banged in five goals in a 22-minute period in the second half. It was brutal for Rottach and it could have been much worse, had their goalkeeper not pulled off some heroic saves.

The Al-Nassr star smiled and embraced the man who carried Portugal’s flag. The pitch invader then crouched down on his haunches while wrapping his arms around Ronaldo’s waist and lifting him up. Despite the security breach, Ronaldo seemed to smile after his feet were back on the turf and even did his iconic “siu” goal celebration with the fan. The dramatic incident is coming weeks after Ronaldo was nearly taken out by an overzealous pitch invader while warming up before playing for Al-Nassr against Al-Tawoun during the latter stages of the Saudi Pro League season. The former Manchester United ace was going through the motions alongside his teammates when he was approached by the fan, who took a tumble as he attempted to get close to his idol near the touchline and narrowly avoided swiping Ronaldo’s legs from underneath him.

However, upon getting to set for the shooting, the artist changed his mind saying she can not shoot because he wanted a light-skinned model. The lady tweeted, “8 am on Sunday, I left my house in Ikeja to the set of my at Lekki. Some minutes after noon, the artiste arrived on set and said he changed his mind. He wants a light-skinned model because my skin tone ‘doesn’t fit the aesthetic’. In response to the accusation, the video director has disclosed that the model wasn’t rejected because of her skin colour but because she did not match the storyboard and vision of the video shoot. According to the video director, he checked all the portfolios of the models for the shoot before he selected them but realized that Ewa, the model who called them out did not fit the vision for the video shoot hence had to drop her and look for a new model. He however debunked the allegations that the model was rejected due to her skin colour. He tweeted, “This is such a heartbreaking and false narrative. As a video director, I carefully selected models for this shoot (through an agency) based on their online portfolio and pictures but the reality was starkly different. The model didn’t match the vision or the storyboard. so I had to make the difficult decision to request another model. This had nothing to do with skin color, as I value diversity and inclusivity. I even took out time to speak to her and compensated her for her time. It’s disheartening to see this narrative being twisted into an issue of skin color.
