Few hours after police announce arresting face behind Gistlover blog, Oba reacts, mocks police

A few hours ago, the Nigerian police paraded three detained men supposedly the face behind the popular Instagram blog, Gistlover. According to reports, the police arrested these suspects while acting on a petition filed by Hon and Doctor Mrs. Seye Oladejo has detained three people in connection with a case of conspiracy, cyberstalking, and endangering one’s life. According to a statement issued by the Nigeria Police Force’s spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the accused is Adebukola Kolapo Nnedum. Micheal Somtomchukwu and Isaac Akpokighe are members of the Gistlover family, a syndicate responsible for the daily operation of the Gistlover blog, a microblogging platform known for “Cyberstalking, incitement, Blackmail, and sundry, which has over the years been a course for public outcry.” However, a few hours after the supposed arrest of Gistlover, the real face behind the blog has taken to his page to mock the Nigerian police for parading fake people are operators of his page.

“Send me your account” – Seyi Vibez allegedly set to gift TikTokers, DJ Chicken, and Oba Salo ₦50 million each Nigerian singer and songwriter, Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi, known professionally as Seyi Vibez, is allegedly set to gift the sum of ₦50 million naira each to two Tiktokers, DJ Chicken and Oba Salon according to an x account. In a post shared on X (Formally Twitter) by a social media user, @OlamideOfficial, she alleged that the singer is to credit the sum of 100 million naira to rye bank account of the said Tiktokers.

Money man.”, was accompanied by a screenshot from the Instagram page of Seyi Vibez. The said screenshot reveals that the singer truly requested for the account number of the said Tiktokers. The request however, attracted attention on social media with many people taking to the comment page of the post to praise the singer while also sharing their thoughts. Oba The royal family of Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi has debunked rumors of one of the monarch’s wives, Oloro Sekinat battling for her life. The rumors were initially reported by blogger Cutie Julls, who alleged that the queen underwent a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery and was now fighting for her life overseas.

In response to the allegations, the palace released a press statement on Monday, denouncing the rumors as false and the product of “wicked imagination.” The statement confirmed that Oloro Sekinat is in good health and is going about her royal duties as usual. The statement read: “The attention of the Elegushi Royal Family has been drawn to the news making rounds on social media purporting that one of the wives of His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, is battling for her life overseas after undergoing a surgical procedure. We wish to state unequivocally that the news is false, baseless, and the product of the wicked imagination of the authors.” The statement further expressed gratitude to friends and family members who have shown concern for the monarch’s family and assured the public that legal action would be taken against anyone spreading false rumors about the royal family. “We appreciate the love and concern of our friends and well-wishers who have shown genuine concern for the health and wellbeing of our beloved Olori. Tears flow as all occupants except one die after their SUV got trapped in a flood in Oko Oba, Agege, Lagos [Video]

The Oko Oba community in Agege, Lagos State, has been thrown into a state of devastation after Saturday’s heavy downpour ravaged its environs.
The heavy flood swept away buildings, goods and vehicles, leaving the entire community in panic.

Tragically, several occupants of a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), which got trapped in the raging flood have now been confirmed dead.
According to an eyewitness identified with the Twitter handle @TTofChelsea, only one person could get out of the embattled vehicle while the rest died.

A video showing residents in frantic effort in search of the occupants with the hope of removing their bodies from the SUV has made the rounds online.

Globacom also unveiled a special consumer promo tagged Ojude Oba Special in celebration of the festival. According to the company, the promotion will avail its subscribers of the opportunity to win 5 tricycles, 10 television sets, and 10 grinding machines.

“To win any of these prizes, a new Glo subscriber is required to activate a Glo Sim and recharge with a minimum of N1,500, while existing customers will need to recharge a minimum of N1,000 before the 8th of July, 2022, to qualify for the draws”.

The digital solutions provider added that customers who miss the pre-event raffle window could simply spend N5,000 or more at the festival ground on the Glo network to stand a chance of winning any of the prizes.

Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, dies at 83

Popular Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, has died at age 83, after ruling his community for 52 years.
It was gathered that the Alaafin died at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, on Friday night, April 22nd.

His body has since been taken to Oyo state where his burial rites have since begun.
The monarch had been sick and a plan had been made to fly him abroad before he passed on late Friday night.

It was also gathered that tickets and those of a few wives have been bought before his sudden demise. He is survived by many wives and children.
