According to Udam Samuel, his friend’s plans to get married hit a roadblock when the in-laws insisted on a whopping sum of N1.2 million marriage list, effectively doubling the initial budget of N600,000. The revelation has sparked a wave of reactions on social media, with many expressing shock and dismay at the exorbitant demands placed on the groom. The aspiring groom, whose identity remains undisclosed, had saved and planned meticulously for his marriage to his girlfriend, only to face an unexpected hurdle. The bride’s family allegedly presented a detailed marriage list that included a range of items, ceremonies, and financial contributions, totaling the significant sum of N1.2 million. A Nigerian skit maker identified as Teaser Prank on social media, conducted a social experiment at a popular market in Lagos, intending to give away N100k for free as a gesture of goodwill. However, the experiment took an unexpected turn when all the traders at the market refused to accept the generous offer. In a video shared on his social media page, the skit maker was seen approaching different women at the market, holding the N100,000 wrapped in a stack with a rubber band. The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi has eulogized the CEO of Air Peace, Allen Onyema for offering to evacuate stranded Nigerians in Sudan with his planes. The business mogul, in a statement on Monday offered to send out his planes to bring home the Nigerians if they can be moved to a safe airport in any of the North-East countries.

Appreciating his kind offer, Peter Obi lauded his ‘gracious altruism’ in helping the distressed persons. He further said that such acts of generosity towards his fellow countrymen and women echos the need for the unity of Nigerians.
