Former governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle Abubakar said the vehicles were returned in compliance with the order of Federal High Court sitting in Gusau. The court, presided by Justice Aminu Bappah-Aliyu had on June 15, ordered all security agencies that removed the vehicles from Matawalle’s houses in Gusau and Maradun, to return them within 48 hours. Recall that security operatives removed the vehicles from the two houses on the order of the State government. The court gave all parties involved in the invasion of the former governor’s houses 48 hours to comply with the order. “Yes, the police command has complied with the court order as regards to returning of all vehicles belonging to the former governor, Bello Matawalle. “We have returned all the vehicles to the premises of Federal High Court, Gusau, as I speak to you now, no single vehicle is in police custody,” Abubakar said. The court also gave an order of interim injunction restraining the respondents in the suit filed by Matawalle from taking any further action in connection with the matter. The respondents include the Inspector-General of Police, Nigeria Police Force and Commissioner of Police, Zamfara. Others are the Department of State Services (DSS) and Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC). The court further ordered the security agencies to stay away from all actions, pending the hearing and determination of the matter before it. Mr Suleiman Idris, spokesperson to Gov. Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, had earlier said more than 40 vehicles were recovered from the two houses of the former governor. He also confirmed that the security agencies took the action on the directive of the state government. NAN

Kamau stated that the pastor has been detained in anticipation of his court hearing on Monday, April 17th. There are rumours of a probable mass burial site in the Shakahola forest, where other devotees might have been interred, and investigators are anticipated to carry on with their search on Saturday. “It is further suspected that there are many victims in the forest land believed to belong to the suspect,” the police report said. According to the local media, Nthenge was apprehended and accused last month following the death of two children from starvation while in the care of their parents. Subsequently, he was granted bail of 100,000 Kenyan shillings ($700).

IPOB debunks sit-at-home order in Lagos, separates self from Simon Ekpa

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) dissociates itself from Simon Ekpa’s call for an Igbo sit-at-home in Lagos, stating that it is a ploy to demonize their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

IPOB debunks sit-at-home order in Lagos, separates self from Simon Ekpa

On Tuesday, Simon Ekpa announced that there would be a forthcoming sit-at-home for Igbo traders in Lagos after some shops at Balogun market were burned down. However, IPOB, via its media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, declared on Thursday that it had no association with the proposed sit-at-home. The statement also indicated that Ekpa is not a member of the group and warned that legal action would be taken against media organizations that link him to the self-determination movement. IPOB Statement on Lagos Sit-At-Home “The attention of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu Kanu has been drawn to the laughable and disgraceful statement making rounds that IPOB issued a sit-at-home order in Lagos State,” the statement said. “The statement is false, laughable, and coming from the quarters of blackmailers to disparage IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. “IPOB has never issued any sit-at-home order outside Biafra Land. Anyone issuing any sit-at-home orders in Biafra or in Lagos is on his or her own and not doing so on behalf of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu or of IPOB. “Therefore, IPOB publicly disassociate ourselves from any purported sit-at-home call in Lagos or anywhere in Nigeria, including Biafra Land at this time.” It said further, “IPOB has no faction, let alone have a factional leader. The chief infiltrator in Finland has been ignored by Biafrans in his mindless sit at homes in the East; perhaps he thinks Ndigbo in Lagos will be so daft to obey his sit-at-home order in Lagos. We know our people are wise. “From today onwards any media outfit in Nigeria whether print media, online news, or others anywhere in the world, that makes the mistake of tagging Simon Ekpa and ‘autopilot’ as IPOB members or Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s disciple again must be ready to meet us in the law courts; Enough is enough!” “Simon Ekpa or autopilot group are on their own. We are not the same people. We are a peaceful movement seeking the freedom of Biafra through an UN-supervised referendum,” IPOB added.

Ladies don’t value friendships – Man reveals how his relationship with female friend ended because he didn’t order pizza for her

Ladies don't value friendships - Man reveals how his relationship with female friend ended because he didn't order pizza for her

A young man identified as @Alan_yournextbf has claimed that most Nigerian ladies do not value friendship with the opposite sex unless the guy in question is a spender. According to him, he used to have a close female friend that he did almost everything for. He always checked up on her, took her out to parties, got drugs for her when she fell sick, and even gave her words of wisdom.

However, on a particular day she visited, he didn’t do any of the things he usually did for her, causing the friendship to end abruptly. He tweeted: “I tried to keep a female friend without strings attached earlier this year.
Sometimes I would drop her off at the gym, pick her up when I’m free, I’d buy her lunch on our way home and she would seldom come over to watch movies and chill, each time she comes over I’d order pizza, I’d order ice cream, I’d put on the generator, I’d take her home when she’s ready. “She would call for advice, complain about body pains, malaria, headaches and I’ll be so concerned of my bestie, I’d offer to get her drugs, I’d even get food for her to take along with the drugs. “I’d invite her out and take her to parties and events and we’ll go together as friends, go on date nights and just tour different lounges in our environment. “One time she came to my house and I didn’t put on the generator cos of fuel scarcity and we should be comfortable enough to chill without light na, I didn’t order pizza or food or drink, there was food stuffs, we should be comfortable enough to eat home made food na. “There was this awkward silence in the room, I tried to do random things and have random conversations but it wasn’t working, 30 minutes to 1hr in, aunty said she wants to go home, I couldn’t drop her off so she had to take a bike. “I promise you, she didn’t text me afterwards and the friendship died a natural death. My point here is, if you’re not spending money or trying to give orgasm to the female gender then your friendship to them is useless. “What are we talking about? Why am I texting you? Why are you my friend? Alaye open leg!The only genuine female friends you’ll ever have are your secondary school classmates or childhood female friends. “Work female friends are just colleagues, church female friends are just church members and gym female friends are just gym buddies, these people are not really your friends, they are just people you know.” See the post below:

CBN issues fresh order to banks

GistReel

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has directed commercial banks to start issuing new naira notes at the counter. According to the governor of CBN, Godwin Emefiele, the instruction was ignited by the outcry of Nigerians over the difficulty in getting the new naira notes.

Thus, the new order became necessary as a way of relieving Nigerians from the challenges they are currently experiencing with getting access to the new notes. He added that this will result in reduced queues at ATMs across the country. He also assured Nigerians that the new notes will be available for collection at the counter. This is coming a few days Nigerians lamented and protested about the shortage of the new notes. Reacting to this, @mattsalako706 said: “The CBN is confused about the policy they introduced. They have used it to cause hardship in the country. This is so sad!” @Yusuf said: “The implementation of this policy has turned out to be the most chaotic economic policy implementation in the history of this country. It’ll be grand naivety to suggest this wasn’t done with a sinister political aim.” @ADDEY203 commented: “CBN’s confusion is even confused”! Reversing itself every now and then. This smirks of hasty, not well-thought-out decisions. Even this will not solve the issue.”
