Nigerian football talents Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala have secured spots in the final shortlists for the 2023 Globe Soccer Awards. The announcement which was made by the organizers on Tuesday, comes less than 24 hours they won the African male and female Best Players of the Year awards in Marrakech, Morocco. In the men’s category, Victor Osimhen finds himself in elite company, contending icons like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Erling Haaland. The final 11 also features stellar names such as Kevin De Bruyne, Mohamed Salah, Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior, and Bernardo Silva. The footballer used her Snapchat handle to warn individuals who inundate her inbox with excuses like their wives giving birth or wedding expenses to request money.
