The incident unfolded as the president’s convoy passed through Idumota market in Lagos Island. The video showcases a notable lack of enthusiasm from the crowd as the president’s convoy navigated through the populated market. Instead of the expected cheers and waves, traders and bystanders could be heard expressing their grievances in Yoruba, with chants of “Ebi npa wa oo,” meaning “we are hungry.”

The residents, lining both sides of the road, took the opportunity to voice their concerns about the economic challenges they are facing. He wrote: “One of my biggest fears about migrating is the possibility of not seeing some friends & family ever again. Sadly, Winifred Chioma George, a Nigerian Nursing Student who was only 16weeks away from completing her nursing degree at the University of Hertfordshire died May 21 2023 💔”

According to reports, Ismail Maihanci, a Nigerian politician and the House of Representatives member-elect for Jalingo/Yorro/Zing Federal Constituency in Taraba State, has passed away.

He was elected under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and died in the early hours of Saturday. The funeral will take place later in the day in accordance with Islamic customs. Maihanci who was born on October 22, 1986, worked as a businessman and a Special Adviser to the Governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishaku.
