Bloody Civilian shares how she rejected offer to perform at wedding

Nigerian artist and producer, Emoseh Khamofu, popularly called Bloody Civilian, has revealed how she politely declined to perform at a wedding ceremony. The Abuja based musician shared a tweet of how she had to beg so she could be exempted from performing at the event. According to her, her discography was not suitable enough to be played at weddings. Rather than perform there, Bloody Civilian chose to pass on the opportunity. In her words; “They wanted to book me for wedding. I had to beg. Like what song???? Iyanya reacts after Mayorkun vows never to perform at Calabar

Nigerian artist Iyanya has reacted following an outcry from Mayorkun over a bad incident he experienced in Calabar, Cross River. Following his performance at an end-of-year event, Mayorkun promised in the post—which has since gone viral online—that he would never return to Calabar. The Lead preacher at Harvesters International Christian Center, Pastor Bolaji Idowu comes under fire for inviting the famous Afrobeat singer, Spyro to perform at the church’s Christmas Carol. The Christmas Carol that was held at the Church’s branch in Lekki, Lagos on 17th of December, 2023 sparked a wave of reactions.

A celestial prophet, Tayo Oke expresses his disappointment over the performance of the controversial singer, Portable and Pasuma at a praise night in church. It is recalled that the street hop artist and fuji singer were invited to perform at the Celestial Church of Christ, Goshen Land Cathedral in Lagos State.

Regrettably, Portable’s performance in the church drew criticism from many netizens who accused the church of compromising Christian values. Expressing his displeasure, Prophet Tayo Oke, in a video circulating online, shared how he felt saddened after witnessing Portable and Pasuma singing in a church. The prophet pointed out the disregard for the outcry, as both Portable and Pasuma went ahead with their performances. He highlighted the disrespect shown by Portable, who wore their Sutana while singing Zazuu.

Prophet Tayo Oke went on to question if anyone had observed a troublemaker singing in other churches and concluded by praying for God to judge the organizers of the event. “Despite the outcry, Portable and Pasuma still went ahead to perform at the praise night. Why AY won’t perform at my show – Basketmouth

After squashing their 17-year-old beef, veteran comedian Bright Okpocha alias Basketmouth opens up on the reason his colleague AY Makun won’t be performing at his Lagos show this Sunday. It would be recalled that prior to this year, the two big names in the comedy industry hadn’t really been on best of terms. Apparently, their issue dates back to an incident that occurred 17 years ago which caused them to quarrel for over a decade, avoiding and refusing to speak with each other.

Basketmouth. Although Basketmouth had publicly apologized to AY and put an end to their longstanding beef, he revealed that he wont be performing at his event that holds tonight. By way of explanation, he said that AY Makun wouldn’t be performing or making a cameo at the event which is set to hold at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos, because the event is scripted.

We are recording for TV so it’s a three-hour set. As we speak the guys directing and producing they just came into the country about a few days ago. “And before they even landed, we had already sealed the whole flow of the show. It’s not the kind of show where anybody would just get on stage. It’s not that kind of show. Everything is timed. Precision to perfection.”

The OAP took to social media to express his displeasure, highlighting the growing trend of local talent preferring to be paid in dollars. He claimed that, despite the fact that the musicians and genre are indigenous to the country, booking payments are now made in US dollars, even for performances in Nigeria. Controversial street-hop singer, Habeeb Okikiola a.k.a Portable angrily breaks silence as he explains why he didn’t perform at Tinubu’s pre-inaguruation concert. It was earlier reported that the presidential-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu held a concert in commemoration of his forthcoming tenure as president of Nigeria.

Up-and-coming Nigerian rapper, Odumodu Blvck discloses that he declined an invitation to perform at the inauguration of President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The singer who is known for his popular track ‘Declan Rice,’ made this information known via a tweet on Twitter, which has since been deleted.
