A young man who claims to be an old friend of the famous Afrobeat singer, Wizkid, recounts how they used to be close when he had a goat pet. A video making the rounds on social media captured an aged man who shared his experience with Wizkid while in Ghana.

The man stated that he used to be financially buoyant and close to the singer back when he used to shop at his boutique somewhere in Accra. When asked if Wizkid may still recognize him, he affirmatively stated that the singer would do so while emphasizing his old age.

Taaooma melts hearts as she launches foundation to assist the poor

Nigerian skit-maker and online comedienne Mariam Apaokagi, popularly known as Taaooma, has officially launched her foundation—the Mariam Apaokagi Initiative. According to Punch, the foundation is dedicated to providing assistance to the less privileged in society, with a primary focus on her birthplace, Ilorin, Kwara State. The unveiling of the Mariam Apaokagi Initiative took place during Taaooma’s courtesy visit to the Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Saliu Mustapha, at his residence in Ilorin. During the meeting, Taaooma shared her vision for the foundation and expressed her commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those in need. Detailing the various programs to be undertaken by the foundation, Taaooma emphasized that the initiative is her way of giving back to society.

She also sought the senator’s support and collaboration for the success of the foundation. A lecturer at the Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) leaves many laughing hysterically as he makes noisemakers dance to the music of their choice in front of the whole class. A video making the rounds on social media captured the unconventional approach used by a University lecturer to punish students.

The defaulters were said to have bothered the man’s class with noise and as punishment, he ordered them to dance and entertain the class. The visibly shy male students who were the noisemakers struggled to actually dance in an entertaining way, leaving the entire class laughing. Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State angrily walked out of the Osogbo central Eid ground on Wednesday over a poor seating arrangement which prevented the governor from observing the two raka’at rite. It was gathered that a former Senate spokesperson, Senator Ajibola Basiru escaped being mobbed by hoodlums attempting to forcefully move him from where he was sitting at the Eid ground.

It was gathered that attempt to arrest the senator was eventually foiled as he was said to have left the ground with Chief Badmus after the prayer rites.

A young man, identified as @buffdandy on Twitter, has put forth his belief on why he thinks demons target individuals of lower socio-economic status.

In his experience, he has never witnessed a wealthy individual succumb to the power of religious anointing, even after participating in fasting or exorcisms within their home. He attributes this behavior to the fact that demons have a stronger relationship with those who are poor. “I have never seen a rich man fall under the anointing even after fasting or having exorcisms happening in his home.
