Popular rap artist, Erigga considers following after chef Hilda Baci’s footsteps as he contemplates smoking for two weeks straight without food. The musician took to his Twitter page to reveal that he’s considering setting his own Guinness World Record by going on a smoking marathon.
He wondered if he smokes non stop for 14 days without food, that would get his name in the Guinness book. This comes following viral chef, Hilda Baci’s 100 hours straight cooking, which defeated the former time of 87 hours and 45 minutes, a record which was set by Indian chef, Lata Tondon in 2019. Erigga wrote: “Watin persin wan do when go break record? Abi make I smoke for 2weeks straight without food.”
However, Guinness World Records are yet to officially announce the new record of Hilda Baci. According to them, they will have to review all the evidence first before officially confirming the record. However, Nigerians seem not to be content with the response of Guinness World Records as they storm their official page to drag the institution. In a video, Hilda’s mother expressed gratitude for the support they received, recalling past struggles when they could only afford a one-room apartment in Abuja. 
Lata surpassed his record by over 20 hours and cooked more than 1,600 kilograms of food grains, made 400 vada pavs, 250 sandwiches and a host of other delicacies over four days. The food was served to over 20,000 visitors, including children from orphanages, blind schools and senior citizens from old age homes. The chef and environmentalist used the platform to encourage people to plant over 17,000 saplings too. 
Sending in her support for Hilda who is few hours away from breaking her record, Lata wrote; “All the best Hilda. Hope to see you on the official site of the Guinness Book Of World Record soon!!!”

Recall that it was reported a few days ago that Rema’s ‘Calm down’ has broken record and to become most streamed by an African act on Spotify. The album pulled over one billion plays on the international streaming app Spotify. According to reports, the track ‘Clam Down’ has made a history that has never been made by any African artist worldwide.
