David De Gea has reportedly rejected initial Manchester United contract renewal offer. 
The 32-year-old Spaniard who joined Manchester United from Atletico Madrid in 2011, during Sir Alex Ferguson’s time in charge at the club, agreed to a £375,000-a-week salary in September 2019, making him the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world. With his contract expected to expire in a few months, The Athletic reported that the club’s opening proposal for a contract extension has been dismissed by De Gea. 
While De Gea wants to stay at Old Trafford, he also feels his performances justify him being one of the best-paid players in the squad. It is expected they will continue to negotiate in the hope of reaching a positive conclusion. De Gea has so far made 529 appearances for the Red Devils. He has won four Players’ Player of the Year awards during that time and lifted the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, and Europa League.
Following the announcement of the incumbent governor, Sanwo-Olu leading in the state after clearing 17 Local Government Areas out of 20, GRV released a statement. In a series of tweets, the Labour Party candidate insisted that APC used thugs to intimidate his supporters and that results from his situation room confirmed that he won. In the light of this, I am convinced beyond any doubt that the results being released by INEC do not represent the wishes of majority of peaceful Lagosians. More so the results from our field agents and situation room indicated that we won this election. I am a champion of the people, we are far from done. Do not lose hope, do not waver. This is not over, we have not come this far to accept outright lies, criminality & falsehoods. A fight for FREEDOM is never easily won. Every vote cast for me was done in the face of intimidation and risk of personal harm. Every such vote must count. Defending every one of those votes is a sacred duty. Accepting the Judgment of the Court, Obi says; “Issues about the election will be sorted out in court. I will be shocked if this country goes on with that situation. It will then stand that it is a corporate criminalized country. We can’t allow it. We need to start unbundling this criminality. “When people were talking about structure, it is this fraud and criminality that we witnessed that they were talking about, and we want to unbundle it for the sake of our children.” “Until we get it right, until justice is done, we can’t talk about government of national unity. We should get things done rightly, and I am sure that the judiciary will do the right thing.”
