Suspect on the run as six people die from peace-offering alcohol drink offered by him

A tragic incident occurred in Ogun State where as many as six individuals lost their lives in a devastating manner from an alcohol drink. It is reported that these individuals consumed a locally-made alcoholic drink, allegedly provided by a friend, during a gathering of seven friends in Ogbogbo community, Ijebu-North East Local Government Area. The unfortunate event took place on Tuesday at a joint where the friends had gathered to enjoy themselves. Shockingly, all six of the people who drank the alcohol passed away, while the person who supplied the drink from his home and did not consume any of it survived. According to locals, prior to the incident, there had been an argument between the six deceased individuals and the suspect, but the matter was resolved. In an attempt to make amends and reconcile with his friends, the suspect reportedly offered the local gin as a peace gesture, fetching a bottle from his house to share. Unfortunately, a few hours after the friends had departed to their respective destinations, news spread that two of them had died, and the remaining four were hospitalized. The incident has left the community in deep sorrow and shock. A source to Daily Post added that “the other four persons died the following day. Six people have been confirmed dead. The whereabouts of the man who brought the alcohol is yet to be known.” Confirming the report, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Omolola Odutola gave a statement. “I just confirmed something like that occurred, but the families said they are not pressing charges and prefer to bury their dead,” she stated.

How I almost lost my phone to a thief in Ibadan “Tell me why I went for a wedding in Ibadan today and ended up doing 100m sprint on Iwo road because this guy pickpocketed my phone and tried to run away in a cab. We were all walking from the church to the reception venue on a narrow road when I perceived terrible body odor. I smelt him before I saw him, I had to look back to see who the smelly person was. Then I made way for him to move forward, but he motioned to me to walk ahead, acting all gentlemanly.

I got to the cab and asked him for my phone, the idiot said “it fell on the floor and he picked it” he even had the audacity to ask if it was my phone. The people around dragged him from the cab and started slapping him. I shouted at him and cursed him but I didn’t want anyone to beat. I left him shortly after and walked back to where my colleagues were, it was while I was walking back that I realized that one of my colleagues had followed me while I was running towards the thief. I must have been a sight to behold: Me running in a black jumpsuit, face full of makeup, looking all fine and running like a mad women screaming “stop the cab! Ole ole!” I think the bravery came from thought of all my bank info on the phone.
