Two secondary school students have been arrested by the Ondo State Security Network Agency for faking their own kidnap. He further stated that 28 other individuals were apprehended from other parts of the state. He said that the arrest was made possible by a joint patrol of his troops, the military, and other security organizations. “This is in continuation of our efforts to ensure that kidnapping in Ondo State becomes a thing of the past. We have people who kidnapped themselves and raised alarm, and in our diligent investigations, we were able to unravel the mystery surrounding the disappearance to the extent that they confessed. We have also kidnapped suspects of some very high-profile individuals in the society that we are working on,” he added.

At least 10 students have been abducted by bandits from Government Day Secondary School in Awon, Kachia LGA of Kaduna State. The Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, in a statement on Tuesday, April 4, said the students were abducted on Monday, April 3rd. Auwan said the State Government received preliminary reports from security agencies regarding the kidnap of the students.
