A young couple set to get married narrates the touching story of how they met 12 years ago on a popular social media platform, 2go. A Facebook user identified as Florence Nwankpa took to the platform to roll out a throwback photo with her partner alongside recent prewedding photoshoots.

2go remains my best chatting platform because it offered me the most precious gift I could ever ask for. Rewind to 2011 when I met him on 2go, he was bent on having a date with me but I wasn’t ready at the moment. On a certain Saturday morning, he visited my church without prior information. He sat next to me at the other row, (I didn’t notice because I’ve not seen him before) and took pictures of me while service was ongoing🤣.

When I got home, I received my pictures taken at closed range inside the church. I was very angry because I wasn’t in my best outfit (Mum’s gown and shoes 🤣🤣🤣). We became very good friends thereafter but I refused to meet him😜. On 6th of Dec 2013, (my birthday 🥰) he called to offer a birthday gift, I sent my younger brother @belikepresh to pick up the gift. My brother came back with a big portrait of my 2go profile picture. I was like huh!, this guy is too forward and intentional.

Surprisingly, I got admitted into the university in the same state where he was schooling 😉 and friendship became stronger. Fast forward to now….. we are getting married.

According to court records, the confrontation unfolded when Waithera returned home in an inebriated state and engaged in a quarrel with her mother, accusing her of neglect since the loss of her job in 2020. Amidst the confrontation, Waithera reportedly dismissed the intervention of her young brother, took a matchbox, and retreated to her room, where she threatened to set herself ablaze. During her court appearance, Waithera’s emotional state was palpable as she recounted the distress that led to the regrettable incident. In a brief statement, Hundeyin stated, “Naira Marley and Sammy Larry, having met their bail conditions, have been released.” This announcement followed the duo’s fulfilment of the bail conditions set by a Lagos State Magistrates’ Court, where they were granted bail on Monday, November 6, with a sum of N20m and three responsible sureties. “As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department,” the court ruled. It is worth noting that the duo were remanded in prison as suspects in the ongoing case of the alleged murder of the ex-signee of Marlian Records, Aloba Imole, better known as Mohbad.
