Manchester United have crashed out of the Champions League following a 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in front of their home fans. The Red Devils who had pinned their hopes on a victory against the German powerhouse and a favourable result in Galatasaray’s clash with Copenhagen, have now been disappointed all round. Erik ten Hag’s squad struggled to make an impact in the game, and Kingsley Coman scored a 70th-minute strike to hand United a last-place finish in Group A. Harry Kane’s brilliance set the tone for Coman’s finish, having delivered a sublime pass.

It also means they won’t make it for the Europa League, as they finished button of the group. Instead, Galatasaray will take the position.
