Everton suffered 2-1 defeat to Tottenham, ending their month-long run of form, courtesy of goals from Richarlison and Son Heung-min. The duo fired Spurs into the top four of the Premier League, boosting their hopes in the title race.

Despite Everton’s efforts, including a disallowed goal and a late goal from Andre Gomes, Tottenham managed to hold on to their lead. The match also had its share of VAR controversy, with the disallowed goal by Everton.
Wolves secured a 2-1 win over Tottenham with Pablo Sarabia’s late goal and assist, leaving Spurs in disbelief. Tottenham had hoped to bounce back after a 4-1 loss to Chelsea on Monday, but their problem have now worsened.

However, the table turned in injury time as Sarabia showcased his brilliance. The 31-year-old seized an opportunity to send home a powerful shot to level the score in the dying minute. The late drama continued as Sarabia turned a provider, setting up Mario Lemina, who capitalized on defensive lapses to give Wolves the lead in the 97th minute. 
The three-time African champions began their chase for a 20th Africa Cup of Nations appearance with a 2-1 victory over Sierra Leone 2-1 at the MKO Abiola Stadium before thrashing Sao Tome and Principe 10-0 on matchday2 with Victor Osimhen scoring four of the goals.
