Wizkid fans drag Reekado Banks as an old tweet of his emerges

Fans of Wizkid have risen to defend their superstar after an old tweet of Reekado Banks calling Wizkid’s voice a faulty generator surfaces. The tweet was made back in 2012 and Reekado Banks had claimed that Wizkid makes his voice shake at the end of his songs. Back in 2020, Wizkid had insulted Reekado Banks for his insensitivity after he released their joint song at the peak of the EndSars protest. Nigerian musician, Wizkid.

A three-year old tweet suggesting Victor Osimhen will win CAF player of the Year if he moves to Napoli has resurfaced online. Osimhen on Monday night bagged his first African Player of the Year award in Marrakech, Morocco, defeating Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, and Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi. But it seems someone already saw Osimhen’s future three years ago, even before he made the big move to Napoli. A tweet by a certain Dumnodi Okonta on Twitter, dated June 30, 2020, predicted that Osimhen would win the African Best Player award if he joined Napoli.

Ex president of Liberia deletes congratulatory tweet to president-elect Bola Tinubu

Former president of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has deleted a tweet in which she congratulated Nigeria’s president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The stateswoman had taken to her Twitter page to congratulate the former Lagos state governor on emerging the president. She had extended her congratulations to the Nigerian people for exercising their democratic right in deciding their next ruler.

However, for some reasons unknown to us, the former president deleted the tweet she earlier made. It read: “Congratulations to @officialABAT on his victory in #Nigeria, and to the Nigerian people for exercising their democratic right to vote. I encourage the new President to champion #WomenLeaders in his government and to ensure that the rights of women & girls remain a priority.”

Singer Seun Kuti has come out to defend an old tweet dug out by social media users hailing Tinubu or ushering President Buhari into power.

Earlier this morning, a screenshot from Seun Kuti’s Twitter page dated as far back as 2015, April popped up singing songs of praise to APC candidate, Bola Buhari for bringing President Buhari into power.

Reacting to the dug-out tweet from his page, Seun Kuti has taken to his Instagram story to lambast those who reshared his old tweet saying that they are fools because they could not have identified his tweet as a sarcastic post. “Yes I thanked Asiwaju for removing Jonathan who I despised with a passion. So what! Is that the same as Performing for them like a monkey? Shey una no read the tweet finish. After thank you we say Wetin? ALUTA CONITUA. THE STRUGGLE CONTINUES And we ain’t ever stopped. Lol. Recall that in the late hours of yesterday afternoon, NigezieXtreme reported how artist Peter Okoye of P-Square music duo clashed with Seun Kuti after the latter described the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi as an ‘Opportunist’. According to Seun Kuti, Peter Obi switched to the Labour Party after losing to the PDP and that he cannot save Nigeria. This comment from Seun Kuti did not sit well with Peter Okoye who ended up dragging the singer adding that he has erased his father’s history. In the midst of the online banter, some Nigerians have dug up a 2015 tweet where Seun praised Tinubu for bringing Buhari to power.
